I just got a message on eBay asking if this is a genuine Vaux footrest, since the person thought they have triangular holes. I've just had a look on EPC, and the n/a one is shown with triangular holes - but handily the Turbo one is shown without any

I bought this from Douglas Valley, so just assumed it is the correct item. Could anyone advise please?

that one just went on ebay on sat, although i missed it cus i was at work!
Glad i didnt get it though because i dont have a little mat, but at least that answers my question i was going to ask; a lotus footrest fits in the vx!

Thanks for clarifying It didn't come out of my car - so I don't know that it does fit. Probably didn't come out of a VX at all £30 DV had better give me my money back

That is still quite a rare footrest on an s2, but you can tell its for a lotus as they go with the circles on everything, have a look on autotrader and most of them just have the footrest like on the na (but circles.)
The vauxhall ones seem to go for more dollar for some reason, one for the vx turbo that i was bidding on 2 weeks ago went for 55quid! Again glad i didnt but it becuase of the car mat issue.
Good luck selling though, if it fits it the vx i think it should be worth as much as the vx ones!

Got a spare one if you want it - replaced it with YOBs old full length one as I never got around to fitting a footrest...
