For the pop on the overrun coming off the throttle I managed a momentary peak of 118dB static :tumble: :yeahthat:

Don't think I'll be able to Joe, as I haven't got my car now. Pro Alloy have got it for a few days, which probably means middle of next week. Nick wants to get his beastie checked though - not that that's much good for comparing with ours.

P.S. I have the same rearbox as you at the moment not the wider version. But do have the small post-cat silencer as well.

It doesn't feel overly loud to me, in comparison to some of the other cars I've been around. I've done events like vmax where even now 75% of the cars would be louder than mine.

Any idea when the 4/1 will be available ? I really need something better than the stock manifold now.... and I see that one as a good start for a 4/2/1 conversion :groupjump:

I'll speak to Chris and see if he has got time to check it on mine when that's back with him from next week.

I took the car back to Chris today, carried out two noise tests, 50cm and 4,500rpm using his much more expensive looking dB meter. Both readings were 96dB. Looks like the iphone was actually closer to a realistic reading than the standalone dB meter! He's now extending the silencer by about 5 inches, so up to ~32 inches long, making it repackable and adding a hole for a wideband lambda sensor should I ever want one.

and nothing about the 4/1 ? (actually I'm almost sure the stock manifold steals me about 20hp, so I am a bit impatient to have it replaced :groupjump: )

Doh, I forgot sorry, I will call Chris on monday or tuesday. Are you after the 4-2-1 or 4-1? The 4-1 which fits onto the standard flange is already done, in which case I only need to find out a price for you.

I guess the delay for a 4/2/1 will be too long unfortunately...

I'll ask Chris but I wouldn't have thought it'd be too long, maybe a week or two?

if it is 96db now, why is he adding an extra 5"s?
