0.5m and 45 degrees...
92dB at idle
107dB at 4,500rpm with a bit of wind
For the pop on the overrun coming off the throttle I managed a momentary peak of 118dB static
Ouch. Welcome to our world.

matt, do you want to come to get tested at bedford this week?
will be good to get a result of my backbox and then your backbox with added 6"
Don't think I'll be able to Joe, as I haven't got my car now. Pro Alloy have got it for a few days, which probably means middle of next week. Nick wants to get his beastie checked though - not that that's much good for comparing with ours.
P.S. I have the same rearbox as you at the moment not the wider version. But do have the small post-cat silencer as well.

It doesn't feel overly loud to me, in comparison to some of the other cars I've been around. I've done events like vmax where even now 75% of the cars would be louder than mine.

Any idea when the 4/1 will be available ?
I really need something better than the stock manifold now.... and I see that one as a good start for a 4/2/1 conversion
I'll speak to Chris and see if he has got time to check it on mine when that's back with him from next week.

I guess the delay for a 4/2/1 will be too long unfortunately...
I'll ask Chris but I wouldn't have thought it'd be too long, maybe a week or two?

Both readings were 96dB
He's now extending the silencer by about 5 inches, so up to ~32 inches long
if it is 96db now, why is he adding an extra 5"s?
