oh and do you need to modify anything to fit the equal length manifold? i assume the piper 2.5 system will join onto the bottom of it no problem?

Nothing needs to be modified to make it fit. The standard headshield won't fit on but I took the opportunity to replace the foam heatshield on the bulkhead with soime proper bolt on nimbus stuff instead.

I would hazard a guess at 5-6bhp extra.

That shouldn't be a problem.

Hello,

I have contacted Chris Tullet and 200 Cell is possible.

Futhermore, there is a new silencer now. It is longer and fully repackable as standard. Price has moved up a little, call them they are great.

Awaiting my invoice now...

3" is best for 250bhp+ Your main concerns will be will the packing stay in the Piper one and it also being too loud when supercharged.

Ok, received my 4/1 "SC" version last week but only opened it today : 1. When I took the closed box, my first thought was "Oh my god, WTF !" The box was simply TOO light to have a manifold in it... but it did. Seriously that thing is really light 2. Quality is superb 3. Lines up perfectly with one of my spare LSJ head, with a bit of margin for some exhaust ports porting. 4. Why, oh why, has it an EGR port :ninja: I'll try to take some pics for all of you a bit later :)

Ok, actually I spent about 6 hours adjusting the flange holes, bit tired and costed a lot on Dremel stuff...

The hole just below the EGR is off Other ones are tight, but this is cool as it gives an almost perfect centering The rest was specific to me as my -1.4mm head get some clearance issue at the lowest level of the flange had to remove 1mm at both lowest extremeties of the flange due to it getting the block on its way But seriously, the EGR is a bad surprise, why on a stuff meant to SC... bad bad bad :groupjump:

Just got back from 10 days away in the Middle East so now need to get mine finished. Just need to get the clam back on. I have already reported to Chris about the holes being out of line so he is aware of the problem Paul, hopefully i will have those brackets for you later in the week

Finally got my 2.5" system fitted. Car is at Courtenays at the moment so that the mapping can be adjusted but initial thoughts 1. Seems to rev easier & not as much SC whine 2. Not as noisy as Munchers 3" system 3. Pretty quiet on cruise 4. A bit more boomy than the Milltek system when accelerating hard but not uncomfortably noisy inside the car with roof on Will try to get some Db tests done asap & atthe moment no lambda problems with the 100cel cat

We've spend an evening puzzling to get the 2,5" manifold in without removing the clam. Has anyone managed to install it while leaving the rear clam on?? We've tried tilting the engine to gain space with the two lower engine mounts loose, but the centre line of rotation is too high to make this work. any suggestions?

Unfortunately i had other things to do so i took the clam off which made getting the manifold & system on pretty easy.

I've since tightened my manifold bolts so you can get to them easy enough.

A couple of suggestions
1. do you have the original heat shield material lining the boot area on. You can get more room by taking it off
2. It may also be easier to take out the bolts from the head, offer the manifold to the head then put the bolts back in. This will give you a bit more room.

make sure taht the holes in the flange mate up to the head though. The end one's on mine needed elongating to get it to fit.

Yep I did it, can't really say how because it took feckin ages and part of that required use of a rubber mallet. Not easy but just about do-able
