We've spend an evening puzzling to get the 2,5" manifold in without removing the clam.
Has anyone managed to install it while leaving the rear clam on??
We've tried tilting the engine to gain space with the two lower engine mounts loose, but the centre line of rotation is too high to make this work.

any suggestions?

Unfortunately i had other things to do so i took the clam off which made getting the manifold & system on pretty easy.

I've since tightened my manifold bolts so you can get to them easy enough.

A couple of suggestions
1. do you have the original heat shield material lining the boot area on. You can get more room by taking it off
2. It may also be easier to take out the bolts from the head, offer the manifold to the head then put the bolts back in. This will give you a bit more room.

make sure taht the holes in the flange mate up to the head though. The end one's on mine needed elongating to get it to fit.

It sounds like a couple of more things we can try.
There's only one or two bolts / studs that stayed in. the rest came out with the nuts. Will try to get them out though.
I haven't tried to remove the heat shield as it seems quite ridgid.

I'll follow up the advice on bolt hole pattern check. It would be hars finding out the holes don't match and the manifold will need to get out after getting it finally in. :P

@rsg, I was hoping for such a moment: I don't know how I did it, but it's in. ;)

I took of the clam in the end, and I'm glad I did: there were a few erors in bolt hole alignment on the flange to the cilinder head. I had to take it off and on a few times before it fitted stressless over the threaded ends.

I've posted a couple of vids made with my Canon S70 from my car and the one from one of my buddies. They both have approx.. 200 miles after installation of the CT exhaust.

The first three vids are his NA with 2,5" Tullett full system and a CDA-BMC airbox inlet.
The other ones are from my car, the same exhaust but with a K&N open inlet.

It gives you a rough idea about the music they produce.
Funny enough, the sound in the car seems louder than outside. :groupjump:
I'd be surprised if they wouldn't pass a DB-level test on any trackday.

Is yours super charged? I assume so if you've installed the 3" system.
The 2,5" system on an NA should sertainly not exceed that level.

am i right in assuming that the 100 cell cat with chuck on the eml light?

how does it fair with the mot and emission test?

I have an O2 simulator http://www.o2sim.com, easy to fit, you only connect 3 wires and it prevents the light from coming on. I've had one for about 3 years. I think Courtenay can also supply one as well.
MOT wise it's fine. 2.5" should be fine :)

Hi,
I am in the process of ordering the complete 2.5" system. I can't wait...

Which O2 simulator have you installed. Is it the single output or the dual output universal one?

Cheers

I asked Andy if the 100 cell cat would be ok. He said that they only supply a 200 cell cat (N/A at least) as a 100 cell wouldn't pass an MOT!?

100 cel should be fine to pass MOT, sertainly when the exhaust is new. Make sure the engine is hot though.
After a couple of years of use the cat wil degrade inside, and MOT will be harder to pass. How many years depends on a few variables so is hard to estimate.
