iv had many waves from the elise boys and girls and even a quick chat at traffick lights and in a car park ,but the biggest snub i had was off a vx owner , i pulled into a petrol staition in birmingham 1 pump down from him as he payed for his petrol and i thought great my first spot and first chat to a vx owner and i turnd my back for 2 sec s and he drove off i wish i could remember his reg ,id name and shame him !

Did you turn off at Jn 12?? and were the Elise's Ardent Red and Autumn Gold ??

If so it was me and my mate off to Snetterton for the day,

I for one will always wave at a VX owner

Well I had a right old pair of experiences recently: 1. A1 Northbound in standing traffic ('58 Aston Martin DB9 no less) with the roof off and windows down the woman in the passenger seat turns and looks at the VX smiles and then nudges her partner ans say's "David how much would that one have been? Cos i think you should have got one like that instead". The driver turned and looked and the disappointment on his face was clear! I just sat there without about £80k worth of sumgness! 2. A1 Southbound again in slow moving traffic i slipped alongside another DB9 (different colour this time) and heard a horn and noticed a double flash of headlights from the Aston. I turned and looked at the Aston and saw the whole family waving... I was rather quite unsettled by this and then the driver decided to give it both barrels (clutch down) and then waited for a response, Feeling a little overwhelmed and not wanting to act like a chav I just sat there until I looked across to see him gesturing to raise the volume and them gave another dose of that lovely V12 and trick exhaust. I then had to give a little four-pot chorus. Well of all things I got a big thumbs up! I did not by a VX for the attention, but by god does it recieve it... Loving it however even though I shrink into my seat to start with!

I get a wave from Elise's most of the time but there is one guy I see about 3 or 4 times a week without fail who just gives me evils!!

x3 Elise spots this morning on drive in to work - only 1 flash/wave..... I guess thats the law of averages!

Elise in Bedford waved at me first today I was so shocked, I'm not sure I waved back in time! Going to the Scare Yourself Sensible doodah at Hethel tomorrow, so it'll be Lotus-tastic

"Bronzy-orange" (I'm sure there's a name for it) 08 plate Elise on the A43 into Towcester - gave me a very friendly wave. Think the dull blue Boxster owner I'd just overtaken felt very left out...

One of my mates has an Elise and has always had respect for VXs. He said the other day he'd flashed a yellow VX in Towcester, not sure if that was you? He's got a silver one though. There are some good Lotus owners out there, although by all accounts not many!
