it does look a little odd in that pic especially at the rear tyre profile hghlights how different thr front is. why did you chose 40s over 45s?

The 40 profile is a bit thin but after trying it with rear tyres on the rims which rubbed a lot on any sort of lock even part worn and with 5mm spacers couldn't just keep trying and dean up here has the same set up so went for the safe no rubbing option considered 215 40 or 45 but couldn't find any confirmation that they would be ok
Think it looks better from this angle ?

Must say, that does look pretty odd! Must give an awful ride into the bargain.

I'm afraid i don't.

The arch gap looks huge, the wheel looks like its sticking out from the arch too much and the front tyre profile is far too low as you've pointed out.

The tyre also looks too narrrow for the rim.

Does that really improve the drive? the spacers and the wide wheels must give terrible bump steer. For me anyway, given how well you can get a vx on normal 175 fronts to work with a good geo, i couldn't accept the compromise of it looking like that. :)

i think it looks better than the skinny wheels .as far as ride goes no worse than the normal Bridgestone tyres as far as being crashy over bumps and I think a bit better grip but who knows now someone else post a picture so we can have a go at their set up 😀
Just a case of personal preferences I guess I personally think huge front splitters look crap but others like them 😊

Chris. IMO it's about trying something different. Looks ok but better if the front was lowered more to close the gap.

Shame the fronts take so long to wear down, we could try all of the options mentioned when youre ready to change again......unless I can get hold of some spare rears to try them on before then. Id stick with 205 section but try a 45 or even a 50 profile to try and close the arch gap. I hate the look of the 175's
