cheers. Will ave a go.photo shop
select the car
make this a separate layer call this background
invert selection so you now have the background selected
go to the colour tool and slide the slider untill you have full desaturated the background
Make another layer call it car
now with the eraser tool remove the background to leave only the car
you should now have 3 layers 1 called car 1 called background and the original layer.
in the layers window untick the original layer ..........
now you should be left with a desaturated background and a coloured car
photoshop all about the layers baby
top tip
never work on the original layer always copy and work on that !
Haven't used photoshop or creative suite for a while but I'm pretty sure thats how I used to do it
