Trying to persuade a mate that he'll fit in a VX - He'll come down to visit one day and so try here, but in the mean time what's the tallest driver that can fit OK? - mate's 6' 5". Paul

6'4'' lost his baseball cap on the A12 when he arched his back 90 minutes into the journey to brighton last summer. almost broke his hand on the screen surround in a flex reaction of trying to catch it - lol. tall people, there's no need for it. serves them right. :) :P

I am 6 ft 3 in. I do not think anyone taller than me could fit in comfortably. My knees very nearly touch the wheel (they do hit it when I go from throttle to brake!)and my head is a gnats whisker away from the rag roof. I couldn't have a hard top as it nicks a bit of headroom. GerryM

Er............ I'm 6' 5''. thumbsup The VX is a bit of a squeeze but you adapt to it, think I've evolved new leg joints since ownership (April last year) 9000 miles covered, not bad for second vehicle. Went to France last summer with my fiancee, enough space if you travel lightish. Seriously, the VX has some compromises which most of were aware of when we bought them. It all depends on what you value. If I were to change mine now, it would only be for a VXT (or a Porsche Carrera GT, subject to test drive and winning ticket !). The Pros outweigh the Cons IMHO. Hope this helps p.s I'm not exactly slight of build either. GOOD LUCK.

i have a mate who is the same height as me when standing (6') but when he gets in the vx, the top of his head is over the screen rail by two inches or so! his forehead gets red raw in the wind. medically, he is known as "long-bodied". :D

Well, I'm 6'3" and I fit in mine with the hard top on. Mind you there's not much room to spare. The only irritating thing is the steering wheel is right in my line of sight for the instrument binnacle, so I can't see the speedo. Still feels fast mind....

The VXT's seats appear to have a lot more cushioning in them than the VX's. If he's considering buying a VXT then it may be worth having VX seats fitted... I have no problems, but am not that tall - 5"11/6"

It really does depend how your body is proportioned. One of the guys I play football with tried sitting in mine with the roof on. I reckon he's no more than 6'3", but is very stocky. His head was pushing against the roof so much that there was a Ford GT40-esque bubble visible from outside!
