Has anybody noticed if their VX is leaking water around the joins of the footwell. Since running the car in more wet weather it appears the footwell on both passenger and driver's sides are not properly sealed on my car. Anybody else noticed this? The give away is soaking wet carpets.
My other crumble is the fogging up of both front and rear lights, have we had a satisfactory answer from Vauxhall yet?
I look forward to your thoughts
Regards
Chris

Try keeping an eye on the Elise BBS, they have a good archive which you can search. This link should give you some suggestions.

I have had two VX's - the first was rejected and replaced - and they have both leaked into the front passenger footwell. The first one was worse, on a particularly wet day I could watch the trickle running down the chassis whilst I was driving. When I was at the Lotus factory in November I mentioned this and was told it is a common fault!!!

Checked my carpets today.
Drove to work in a near constant flood! Not wet, just a little damp from my shoes and thats it.
The VX still astounds me for its drive and poise in the wet.
One happy owner.(except my light switches are on the way out!)

When I got to work yesterday I noticed my passenger mat was soaking and the drivers was quite wet. Took all night to dry out the drivers.
I do remember having to drive through quite a bit of water on a roundabout - might have had something to do with it.
I'll check again after driving tomorrow, as I still need to finish drying the passenger mat. . .
