There's a couple on the german forum who have the 'charger and say definitely 200+bhp. Not much more info on long-term experience.
Good luck at D-M! I've been waiting two weeks for a simple quote to do the 'charger with forged con-rods which FW told me they had. (For pistons he would have to look).
'Phoned them again today, as they know I wanted it done soon. FW declined to come to the phone but the message was, "We haven't got any forged con-rods
(in contrast to what he emailed me before) and don't know where to look." !!!

I told them that there are Swiss manufacturers – gave them name, details and phone number. They will "get back to me". I'm not impressed!
In fact, I must admit I am getting p*ssed off with this disinterest by D-M in accommodating any additional requests from customers. FW was moaning to me about how he didn't have time to answer all the emails you send him with every little detail too, Ricky. I think they've got enough business without having to make an effort – I don't think he's bluffing when he says they're making batches of them.
And I'm well p*ssed off with the customer service from Opel anyway. So much so that I am going to test drive the Elise 111R tomorrow to see if that Toyota motor is not the better track choice. After all, in Switz. the Speedster is now worth about 25,000 Swiss francs. If I put another 25,000 in with tuning, it's still only worth 25,000 – as re-sale value won't go up. If I trade in, for twice the price of an "upgrade" I can get a new car with more power straight out of the factory – new warranty, better ABS, more sophistoicated, easier access to tuning items such as harness bar, better residuals
and have dealers who are enthusiastic, knowlegable and competent. At least that's the way it is in Switz. My bro had a Swiss dealer build up a Caterham for him and it was perfect. All I've had from Opel garages has been ignorant cr@p.
I can live with the styling of either – not so sure about the dealers – and I'll find out about the motor tomorrow.
