agree with what your sayin but hey if someone asks a q about something and only wants a helpfull answer relating to the question then all im sayin is if all someone has to say is just demening then dont say/post a reply. obviously i think it misses the point of the car but live and let live is my motto so if someone wants to f up a vx then let them. it just makes the good ones rarer.
if you actually think about it a fibreglass car is exactly the type of car that is made to be messed with. hence the reason its fglass. easy to mould new shapes etc and basic components to alter/improve. its just a shell with a mould on top so is much easier to change than a metal car. but we just accept alterations to them. rather than ours.
obviously alterations are going to cause abominations as weve seen. but it would undoubtedly give improvements that would push the styling forward.
I totally agree with the sentiment, as long as it's done to improve the car somehow - putting an 18/19 setup would ruin this particular car - if you want massive wheels, get a car that goes like stink in a straight line where handling isn't that important. Likewise, why mess with the body unless it's gonna help aerodynamically or with cooling. Lots of people have some great cut outs to do this and they look fantastic. Unfortunately, the types of styling we've seen on here, like the 2 big bore exhausts or that black car with the dodgy side sills and diagonal exhausts just scream of chav and would make no improvement over OEM in any way, looks or otherwise.
Like I say, I agree that anyone should be able to ask the question, but a lot of people are fiercely protective over not spoiling what is a pure driving experience.
