Great banter throughout and quality service as usual from Matt & Sean.

Another vote for Jon Seal Sports Cars Complete suspension refurb including powder coating of wishbones, new Spitfire rear toe link, Quantum shocks, ball joints , geo etc, etc, in affect pretty much new... Chris kept me fully updated as job progressed, plenty of photos so I can add more detail to car history, quite a setup, car envy was mentioned previously....made me realise I am on the path to much greater expense 😬 Drive home a revelation (rear Billy's were completed shot and one spring broken) and geo way off, car felt sure footed, stable and inspires far more confidence...thanks again Chris, great job....pity the garage is 180 miles away!

A big thanks to Matt and Sean at Matthew Bentley Racing :)

Following on from the Nitron Street Series group buy I asked for some advice on a suspension refresh. Matt took the time to listen to my requirements and put together various options, explaining the pros and cons of each. In the end we went for EP joints, bars and bushes, 1"ARB, powder coated wishbones and uprights, geo etc. etc. While the car was in Matt also carried out a comprehensive service and fixed lots of little niggles.

Picked up the car on Friday and have fallen back in love with it  The car feels completely planted and is a pleasure to drive on the road... can't wait to get it back on track rallly

The standard of work is excellent and reflects Matt's passion and attention to detail. Throughout the process Matt kept informed with progress and was always happy to answer questions. All in all a great experience and thoroughly recommended thumbsup

A huge thank you and full recommendation to:-

A.   Madmitch for his excellent oil filter gaskets. Not only do they work but his advice has been above and beyond all expectations.

B.  ChippyFA for the excellent oil plate spanner.

Grateful thanks to both in helping to keep my car on the road.

Had a trip to Matt Bentley for the first time. Top work by Matt and Shaun, fixed everything I needed and gave good advice on dampers. Good communication with pics.

Recommended.

Well this hasn't had any posts recently, but I thought I'd drop in and say a big thumbs up (and thanks) to Jez @ Back on Track.

After my VX220 was 'finished' at the bodyshop and trimmers, he had the unenviable task of making it road legal. Great communication (one of my biggest bugbears), patience and attention to detail he even let my mapper come down and work on the car at his to make sure that by the time I wanted it back it was sat there ready to go.

Despite him not exactly being round the corner, I think he's just become my preferred VX garage.

Echo what Hornet has said. Just driven a total of 7 hours to get the VX out of storage, over to Matt's for a service and then back into storage. Needed more than just an oil change this time with brake fluid, air filter and fuel filter being done too. And a bastard wheel arch liner bolt that had seized solid! Great service including top banter, coffee and chocolate bars!

Top Gear Automotive, Wolverhampton. Owned by a guy called Martin. Top man, knows his stuff on vx220s', Lotus and  Tvr. Trust him completely and is very fair with costs. Also very honest.      thumbsup

Sadly, Top Gear Automotive has now closed, and Martin has retired.   My MoT report says I need a new CV boot, so I 'phoned TGA (or tried to).   Should I drive to Gugliemi, in Daventry, or is there anyone nearer to Birmingham than that?

When fitting my 60L ProAlloy fuel tank and new Spitfire Engineering uprated fuel pump a couple of months back I had a slight problem in relation to the new pump. I contacted Gaz by email and had a reply and a solution to my problem in about fifteen minutes.First class service.

Recommended garage for VX/Lotus service or upgrades near Tarporley, North West.

https://www.northmotorsport.com/

Sam provides a top quality, reliable service and great trackside support too - he has just fixed my electrical issues.
