I used Neil Garner last week for a clutch change. His staff were efficient, professional and fixed 2 other minor problems on the car for free :) Thus I would heartily recommend them.

I also used them. They changed all my discs and pads for 2 hours labour, and my engine mounts on a separate occasion took them nearly 4 hours but they only charged for 2 and a quarter as it was due to some particulary rusty bolts causing them problems Will be taking it back when it's due its service Also would highly recommend They charge 56 pound an hour + vat Cheers

I went there for an 80k service today.... and It didn't go too well if I'm brutally honest. I'm a pretty laid back sort of bloke (read near horizontal) but a few things grated that I'll pass on. Neil and staff...pretty good on the whole, but TBH I like a chat about cars when I'm in a garage (not their fault I know....but read later) arrived at circa Facilities....hmmm, they are pretty much in the middle of nowhere (I knew that) the cafe the bloke took me for lunch was manned (or femaled) by the most miserable bunch I've ever met - I didn't even bother buying any food  So I binned the food idea after a walk around the airfield and headed back to Neils....got absolutely soaked in a monsoon in transit. And now the bad(ish) bit. Back at the workshop I sit down and wait, this is an hour and a half after I dropped the car off...it's still on the ramps. More wating and I'm told it wont be much longer as the fuel filter has turned up...... Hmmmm. Filter turns up and Neil tells me it wont take long now....oh no, wrong one its going to be another hour....I drive away nearly two hours later :angry2: So I dropped the car off at about 1:30(ish) and left at 5:45....so 4:15 to kick the tyres, change the plugs and a fuel filter according to the receipt  Don't get me wrong, i really got the Impression Neil knows his way around Elises/VX's...and usually I wouldn't mind a wait (it wasn't his fault the wrong parts were shipped) but sitting around for three+ hours in a garage with fcuk all to do (bar read EVO etc) was painful. No 3G available so no internet on the blackberry made things worse. Would I go back? Overall, yes I think I would. Neil was very apologetic about the delays (obv not his fault) and the cost was about what I expected. However, next time I will take some work to do as the delay has seriously troubled me workwise. And I will source a near decent pub to eat in lol.
