There is evidence of mileage altering, posts on here, previous MOT and it is now showing alot less.
Sorry, but no luck for you mate. It is not illegal to mention on a public forum a different milage as your car has in reality. For instance, if the car had only done 20.000 miles, and the previous owner wrote in this forum it has done 50.000 (for whatever reason), then it's only his business. It want hold for any court as evidence that the milage has been tempered.
It would be a whole other story however, if the milage was officially noted at the MOT a year before the sale at 50.000 miles, and the speedo only shows 20.000 when you bought it.

Seems the story is somewhat complicated. Of course, the 717.000 miles the MOT noted want probably hold as evidence either, as there is no way a Speedster would do that many miles in such a period. So it all comes down to what milage you can prove the car had really done before the speedo was switched, and if the seller have told you that.
