A couple of questions
What benefit does removing the rear lights have
Why do you have to udo the boot lock mechanism (cabling to alarm sensor )
not sure why you need to remove the lights, although would you want to risk damaging them?
boot lock mechanism is attached to the cable mechanism.

Does the engine start with the rear clam off?
I have my engine light on and she no start.
