I had less power and less flame after my decat than before. Only binned it so that I could get an extra silencer fitted and wasn't bothered if it gave an 1bhp or not.

What's people thoughts on a de/cat for my car. If it adds a couple bhp and I see a flame or two then I will be happy. Just not sure if it's worth the extra money.

And you'll need to fit the cat back for MOT unless you have friendly mechanic?

That bit will be fine as il just get bolt on section d/cat so can swap when I need to. It's more the flames I'm after as chavy as it sounds.

That's interesting to know maybe d/cat is not the way forward for me then.

It still flames a bit but nothing extreme but I wasn't doing it for flames and would be happy if it didn't do it at all. I'm sure Courtenay's will give it extra fuelling if that's what you want though.

Not sure to be honest. It's just whatever came with the Tullett 3.0" SC system. Bloody small whatever it was.

Right i haven't done very much to this project lately as im busy with my other project. But i had some spare time the other week to get my rack raiser fitted. It was a dead easy job to do just need a strong back and be able to put up with being up side down for a while.
The old ones next to the new ones.
Posted Image
Now all fitted up on both sides and also unbolted all the steering joints to release the couple mill of play.

I was having problems with my battery dieing quick with the winter months and with the car not being used this time of year didn't help. So i bought a solar panel battery charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter and i tested the car today after it haven't been started for 3 weeks and it started first time so this bit of kit was well worth the £12 off ebay.

The vx is off for the Geo/ Tracking and also to get the CF arb and a048 tyres fitted on Tuesday at Cornering Force, so ill report back after its all done.

ive had my ARB fitted and now everything underneath is powder coated orange and looks the part.

Ive also had my final mapping done at Courtney Sport and it made 313.90 BHP and 262.44 torque which i'm over the moon about. It was well worth the journey down there as its totayly transformed the car as it drives as smooth as standard now. So a big thanks to CS and everyone who has played a part in my car.

Yep. And mine is slightly different again. They haven't fundamentally changed in their rate though. :)

Did they also change the front stab layout? If you have, post some pics of your front mountings etc.

A little update. Ive fitted the gear box breather.
Posted Image

I bought some heat wrap for my gear cables to give them a bit more protection from the exhaust. I also wire wrapped them to stop them falling of even though they had a sticky strip on them.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Next was to fit my carpet, momo badge, alloy indicator stalks and the fuse box stickers.

I fancied doing something different with my engine badge so i sprayed it matt black then got some orange vinyl and stuck it behind the badge, i like the look it gives off rather than the silver badge.
Posted Image
Posted Image
I also took my fuel cap off and spayed it black with load of layers of lacquer to give it some protection. I will see how it gets on, if it starts to look crap il get it anodised instead. I also got some black anodised bolts to finish it off.
Posted Image
Posted Image
It was time to fit my under trays so i decided to buy some quick release clips for my undertrays off a4boltman from here and they are worth the money if you value your time messing around unbolting all the bolts.
