Luke - shame you're moving away, it would be great to see your car with all the additional upgrades - however good luck with your new job.......when are you going south?

I am going to miss this place also and all the people i have met and the friends ive got up here now. I hope i can do the same down at my new place. I should be going around the 23rd of March if all goes to plan.

Joe's old seats Luke?

Thought he sold them to chris.

Would love a set tbh.

they were horrible..

sat to high
couldnt pull the seat far enough forward to be comfortable on the pedals, if you did you couldnt get it in reverse,
wouldnt fit with my harness bar.
sliding the seat forward/backwards was a pita as the slider was very far under and back.
having the higher sides on means getting in and out was a true pain

I found this when I tried Lees when he first fitted them.
Dave made up some of his own mounts to get around this and sits perfectly.
Other option is Elise Parts seat mounts, not cheap but saves faffing around.

Bit more of a update. Coupe back came the other day but i still need the second skin and seals to finish this off.
Posted Image
Also got a cracking shot of the car while it started snowing.
Posted Image
New harness bar for the JK seats from JB Fabrication as my other one didn't fit. Received the harness bar but it was still touching my seat so im getting a custom made one from JB Fabrication (Thanks again mate for sorting all this out and he is a cracking bloke) that sits back a little further but still means i can have the speakers in place, so the fitting of the seats is still on hold.
Posted Image
Received my stage 4 bits which is a bigger fuel pump over the stage 3 one and also the Phenolic Spacer to try and keep the temps down a little bit. My HID kit came so no more candle lights.
Posted Image
My new braided fuel line and fittings ready for the fitting of the harrop this weekend hopefully.
Few other bits like silicone, clips, and Jimmys Lsj Laminova Overhaul kit ready for the weekend.

Received a picture today of my anodized interior and fuel cap. Thanks MrDCG for sorting the group buy out as it looks so good.

what are you doing about injectors with the Harrop, are you staying with VXR injectors and upping the fuel pressure or bigger injectors?

Update from the weekend. My adapters came from America for the fuel rail.
Posted Image
I then took a day off Friday and set off to Chris house to fit all the goodies and the harrop. We both started the Friday and by Sunday this is what we have done.
We have fitted both harrops to our cars and also upgraded the fuel system on my car, pig of a job.
Chris was finished first but needed clam fitting to finish.
Posted Image

We started mine on the Saturday where the first job was to strip all the m62 off and inlet manifold to fit the braided fuel lines. After a good few hours spent making brackets we had finally fitted the fuel lines and spacer fitted. Looks so much better now and well pleased how it all turned out.

Harrop bolted on and a hole cut into the bulk head/ fire wall to reach the harrop bolts properly. It was then tiger sealed back up with a piece of carbon fiber making it a easy job to remove in the future if needed. I might make the carbon a bolt on feature so no tiger seal is used but for now its doing its job.

Just about done now just needing the clam to finish.

One picture with the clam on and me with a big smile on my face :D

Only problem we ran into and couldn't do was the fuel pump as we both didn't have all the parts to finish the job so hopefully have the parts sorted to finish it.

Overall im one happy person and Chris is a legend for letting me stay at his house, helping with my car, use of garage and tools and also the cooking of the bacon butties thumbsup Anyone wanting any work doing on the vx then i couldn't recommend Chris enough.

Cheers mate and made them from some old pieces of metal I had brought. I will get them powered coated at some point to blend them in a bit more as they stick out like a sore thumb.
