you should replace that silicone air filter section with some alloy pipe and just use two short sections to connect it up. I have heard it can collaspe on full load with high bhp SC conversions  thumbsup

The Nanotec oil unfortunately gave zero power gain over mobil 1 oil but was fine otherwise.

Of course, any oil advertising fuel economy without gross viscosity grade changes is complete crap. Millers are the worst for this.

:yeahthat:

Plus the TB can take a 75mm pipe, not just the 70 that most people fit. Anything to reduce restrictions before the charger is good, so take the opportunity to upgrade the diameter too.

Thanks for the nice comment guys. If you all keep commenting il keep posting.

Few more goodies to fit.
Light weight powder coated coolant tank bracket plus 6 rib alternator pulley. All I need now is the 6 rid crank pulley and then I can upgrade to a 6 rid belt.

Went to collect these yesterday and well worth the journey. They have come out of a vxr220 number 41.

Paint it just remember to use acid etch primer. Black satin looks very like anodise. Plastikote BBQ paint is also quite scratch resistant.

I set about cleaning and fitting the seats this weekend so first thing first was to take the bobbling off the seats as the type of material is prone to it. All you need is a razor blade and some time and they come up like new.

Posted Image

Then a good wash with Autoglym interior shampoo and air dried.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

I also had some leather side pockets I've been meaning to fit for a while now. They are so much better then the crappy ones you get standard in the vx as your lucky if you can fit anything in.
Posted Image

Then set about fitting the seats and side pockets and door trims. Was losing light so only got one picture of the seats but will get some more soon

I also finally decided on a new plate. It's stands for my full name and birthday.

Not yet but it's my birthday present from my girlfriend so will be done before I go to croft. When I do get it I think I will get it setup on the dyno so I can see bhp/ torque figures or would you recommend just setting it up myself?

Do it yourself! The last % on a dyno with somebody who understand OBD Tuner. So you can use wideband lambda and the expirience of a tuner.

As mentioned above You can get 97% of the way there your self and seems a waste of money to do this on a dyno. I'm sure you can get the last 3% on the road but could be beneficial to do this on a dyno instead if stop starting with laptop
