We did loads in the end Rewrapped loom Wired and fit the tmap Installed 6 rib conversion Fit up-uprated fuel pump Wired in wideband sensor Fit new 630cc injectors Think that was it.

Thanks for your help mike and also Chris as we got lots done. Yeah it should work fine for now mike with the cheater but once I start mapping I need to change the lambda back to standard as Peter says. Chill can I start and let the car tick over on the base map on without no problems or damage to my engine or do i have to do some mapping first?. I need to changed my rad tomorrow so will need to bleed my system.

running on base map is fine, start and go for a quick run to make sure all is wired up OK then do some mapping sessions.

You will def need to remove the cheater for mapping

As bargi says you should be able to drive on the base map. I am surprised peter has not told you not to use the cheater As the software uses the lambda s Get fuel learning session done ASAP with no WOT then when you have confirmed your wideband is working correctly with a log session. Send log to peter before WOT is applied for mapping Peter will be able to tell you if you Tmap is working correctly and wideband and also the transient fuel setting Peter pulls a lot of information from logging sessions and he is always happy to look at them Chris

Doesn't he have the wide band though, which means the cheater can be used?

Wideband is only used for wot mapping None wot is done through the lambda as normal Luke are you swapping over the sensors for mapping

This is the responce with the cheater I got. I will be removing the cheater as I don't want any complications. = It is best to install the original second lambda sensor, the ECU does use it for more than only checking the cat. It is more or less also a backup for the primary lambda sensor. But if the cheater does a good job it will also work with the cheater. What's sensors are we talking about chill? I've only read a bit into the manual but it is hard to take the data in without seeing it happen on the computer at the same time so really need to plug stuff in and go from there.

Do you have a separate bung for wideband in your exhaust?

That's ok then I thought you were swapping the wideband and Lambda sensor dependant on what you are doing. Why are/ where you using a cheater?

The cheater is on the second lambda if I remember correct and it was to stop the issue of the mil light coming on every 50 miles and also my fan kicked In every time as well. I will be removing soon as I don't want this to interfere with the mapping.

Now I understand, will you repairing the issue before mapping? If there is a issue

I can't repair the issue tbh unless I have a cat fitted as this seemed to be the reason it started happing, so all I can do is remove the cheater and just have a standard working lambda in which then I hope the software will fix the problem of these things happing.

If the lambda is working you won't have a issue with the software

Haggi You Just select to turn of the catalyst check in the parameters then you can run the second narrow band sensor with no cat. Think of the second sensor as a safety feature to prevent incorrect fueling if the primary sensor develops a fault.
