After stripping the laminovas and pulling them out I noticed there was slight damage on the ends on a couple of them where the seals sit which have been fine for years but I wasn't happy with them so I bought some epoxy steel glue and filled the holes in and then sanded back until it was all level.
Posted Image

All cleaned and fitted everything back up along with new seals and hand made gaskets for the phenolic spacer as the others where shot.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

I also bought some fuel rack raisers and sleeves for the head to hopefully stop my boost leak.
Posted Image

Took the car out again for more software and I'm still having a boost leak so I was Starting to get annoyed by this point and decided to replace all the gaskets and bolts around that area.
New inlet to superchager gasket
2 Saab inlet gasket for the phenolic spacer to replace the paper ones
New bolts for the inlet and superchager
Posted Image
Posted Image

I also decided to fill the hole in the head with silicone to stop the chance of oil ever making its way into my inlet again and bought a new oem rocker cover gasket
Posted Image
Posted Image

Everything fitted back up and now my boost leak is gone and oil leak is gone also.

Next was to replace my heater as mine had a massive hole in it and was just crap so a fezz heater was purchased.

All fitted

Cleaned the softtop and gave it coat of water proofer.
Posted Image

Next job was to start refurbing my new spare set of brembo rear calipers that I've had for years and had developed a layer of surface rust, nothing to much for the Dremel to sort.
Posted Image

After they were clean I gave them a coat of caliper paint
Posted Image

I also bought a few more goodies that I need to fit before my next track day.
Pro alloy gear box breather
Motorsport gear cables
Ap racing 4 pots
Goodridge hoses for the 4 pots
308 mm disc
CL5 + pad ps front and rear
Ezzibleed kit
New brake fluid and some more oil
Exhaust rubber mounts and stainless steel plates
Steering rack

I've got lots to update with the software but hopefully I will do it all in one go when I've finished it as I'm making good progress through it now.

Nice build thread, and nice attention to detail!  Any plans on audio upgrades ( kind of skimmed over the 23 pages) ?

Sorry only just seen this now. Yeah I've got a sub box that fits behind the seats that will house a 10 inch sub and also going to buy a kenwood amp that will fit behind the seat. I've just got some kenwood speakers with tweeters built in along with 2 smaller speakers that will fit under my footwell to add some more speakers to the car. That will be enough for me with the sound system as it's only a 2 seater so the sub and speakers are not far away.

I should really update this. So basically I fitted the Ap 4pots calipers, disc and cl pads which came with its problems but I got there in the end. I painted the 308 mm disc and the rear discs in a black heat paint. I also gave everything behind the wheels a good clean up and check over to make sure it's all in order.

I also got a new set of shocks all round as my last ones started leaking. The new shocks have a harder spring rate.

Old and new
Posted Image

Then the next job was to fit the steering rack and new UJs which where such a pig of a job to do and hope I don't have to do it anytime soon. I had to buy and fit new track rod ends as the others didn't want to play ball when coming off so some new ones from elise parts were ordered. Once I got everything fitted and a more aggressive Geo done at Track torque the car was totally transformed. The car now is so perfect for me and it handles like its on rails.

So the National was only a few weeks away at the time and the next thing was to give the car a good machine polish and general clean up.

The car performed perfect for me all day at Croft and it's amazing how changing a few items that it just changes the car and it's almost like a new car to drive. The brakes now stop at just a touch of the pedal and the power is just something special. Overall I'm one happy person and wouldn't change anything.

I will update the software when I'm happy as I'm having a few teething problems with lambdas and trying to get tablets to work but in all I love the software.

The forum is crap now for uploading photos. It was better before where it would say you have reached your maximum images. Where as now it uploads double images and doesn't upload some images.

I swear it has changed. Before when you uploaded loads of pictures it wouldn't let you post the post. Now it posts them but changes the last few Images tags and also doubles the images, making me spend ages changing them all.

De/cat is your friend. Layer of wax on the clam keeps the flames from burning it, quick wash off of the soot and buff up looks as good as new.
