Fuel cap fitted with black stainless steel bolts.
Posted Image

More nuts and bolts and stainless steel jubilee clips.
Posted Image

My rear wishbones are all painted now and have the ball joints and bushes pressed in.
A couple of photos to show the difference in how the custom wishbones sit compered to the oem wishbones. I also measured the new wishbones and each one is 0.5 kg lighter so a 2kg saving on them all is good going.

New bolts for the hubs front and rear.
Posted Image

All the crash box cleaned and ready for bolting the radiator back on.
Posted Image

Radiator foam fitted down both sides to stop the air from being lost up the sides and back.
Posted Image

Nearly all done for the front end and I'm just waiting on some smaller thread length stainless steel bolts to finish off bolting the radiator to the housing.

Right I made a start on installing the Dash2 which was not an easy job but a big thanks to chill for his help as in the end we got it sorted.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Lots of new wire and connectors for the dash. I also managed to find some new rubbers for the horn.

Attached the alarm properly as it was just dangling before.
Posted Image

Bought some spot calipers and also the brackets to mount the 2 pots to the rear.
Posted Image

Decided to upgraded my stereo to a dab top of the range one as I had lost my aerial due to the conversion as the vx mounts to the rollover bar and the lotus seem to mount under the front clam. With this stereo it has a stick on aerial that sticks to the windscreen so no need to have wires going everywhere.
Posted Image

Got my shocks back from there refurb and looking like new now.
Posted Image

Fit perfect now and loads of clearance.
Posted Image

Fitted the extra front speakers I've had for years under the dash.

AP 2 pots all refurbished and painted a nice Matt back. Cleaned the spot calipers and painted the brackets and everything come up like new. The spot calipers were not clamping properly as it had formed a layer of rust so once cleaned off they started working perfect.
Posted Image

All fitted now but having problems with the pads not gripping the disc due to the pads being worn down too much on one side from when they were not clamping right. New pads ordered.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Right now the fun started again trying to get all the sensors working with the dash2, so the first batch of adaptors.
Posted Image

Had to wire in some resistors into the wiring for the sensors to get it to work with the dash.
Posted Image

Then wiring it into the dash.

Wire from the dash to the sensors
Posted Image
Posted Image

New bracket to mount my tablet to the stereo.
Posted Image

Stereo and bracket all fitted but still not happy how the bracket sits.
Posted Image
Posted Image

I spent ages trying to find these plugs for the head lights on the internet but to no luck could I find them. I could of just cut the plugs off the headlights and wired in a new plug but didn't want to butcher the oem lighting wiring and plug so I bought 2 new wiring harness's and plugs from lotus. Cut the plugs off and wired them into the car. I did have a picture but can't find it but they look and work perfect now and the lights stay oem. 2 new abs shims as I already have the other side.

New full length brake vacuum pipe now all fitted.
Posted Image

Coolant bled and wheels back on and first start up in a while. It sounded great and to see the dash2 working started to feel like a real car again.
Posted Image

A few videos of the car running and the dash2 working.
Posted Image

Dash2
Posted Image

Right I decided to change all the brake lines and clutch lines for braided HEL hose from front to back to match the ones on all the four calipers. I didn't really want to change them as mine were mint still but i noticed Dan had cut through mine and bodged with a fitting which didn't fill me with confidence.
Posted Image

Measured up what sizes and length I need from front to back and also got them fitted with a heat sleeve front to back to run the risk of them touching the coolant pipes and melting.

More sensors adaptors and sensors along with the plug for the laptop and dash2 as my other wasn't working for some reason.

Fire extinguisher mounted to the harness bar and all plumed in now with the nozzles fitted to the top of the bulkhead aimed at my engine and fuel rail.
Posted Image

Made a new panel for the tablet and bracket I had so it fitted above the stereo this time. Its not finished yet as it needs the edges and painting but I was just seeing if it works. It sits perfect and I can now play with the Dutch software while on track days ect so I can monitor my engine.

A video of the stereo working now and the to show the tablet on its new bracket

Posted Image

Treated myself to a early Christmas present 😍😍
Posted Image
Posted Image

Made a start threading the brake and clutch lines through the sills
Posted Image

Clutch line fitted
Posted Image
Posted Image

More adaptors and sensors for the dash2 and now finally cracked it for the oil temp. Had to drill and tap then drill and tap the other one to finally get it to work and not block the oil.
Posted Image
Posted Image

All fitted and now wired in and should work perfect.
Posted Image

So I have oil temp, boost and water reading on the dash2 so far. I'm just in the process of buying a OBD cable which should then give me inlet temps and water on the dash. This then means I have the water temp sensor free so might connect it to the charge cooler and read the water temps from there.

Right some more Xmas present for the car An fittings, braided hose and fuel filter. I already have the braided hose from the fuel rail to the fuel filter so it seemed daft not to finish it off since I'm fitting the PA fuel tank. New brake pads for the spot calipers which now work perfect and grip the disc nice and tight.
Posted Image

All the braided lines fitted and cabled tied out the way. Bleed the clutch and brakes and all seem fine. Just need another litre of fluid so I can do a complete flush with new stuff but their working for now.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Old lines all out
Posted Image

Fitted my new reservoir while doing the brake lines.
Posted Image

I'm just in the process of fitting my new tank and will update this once it's all in and plumbed in.
