Right I've got a picture of the of the tax disk fitted now, but I had to buy more of those sticky things to make it fit as the windscreen of the vx isn't flat so it wont fit unless I build it up with them.

Posted Image

Next I fitted the Seat Cupra R splitter that i got for Christmas and I think it was about £23 from seat and it was a PITA to fit and get it to sit even on both sides... I won't be fitting another anytime soon I'll just buy a proper one for it. It does look good fitted though I must admit.

I bought some redex for the engine oil and some for when I fill up with petrol to help keep the engine healthy. They cost £7 for the both of them which I don't think is a bad price.

Stu-Bo/someone else: can you explain to haggi why Redex is useless - so at least he understands and can learn (I don't know, else I'd answer it myself) :)

1. Haggi, you are posting your work on a public thread and regularly ask peoples opinions, so don't get upset when you dont agree with them.

2. Slingborg known for not mincing his words, he's like that with EVERYONE! its nothing personal i'm sure.

3. I got my injectors cleaned by these people. Cost 50-something quid and were back with me within 48 hrs (although I had a spare set). Made a difference and added about 20 miles range to a tank of fuel so pays for itself in 4 or 5 tanks.

I don't know about Redex, but I have used similar from Forte and it helped. Not as good as getting them properly cleaned of course, but I was still happy that I did it. You HAVE to use the highest octane fuel that you can find though. It lowers the octane.

Most Manufactures add some sort of injection cleaner at services if you let them so I would hope they do something and most of the information around says injection cleaner can improve things on older vehicles (these are the sites that slate most additives). Though it could just be a way of making more money.

I use shell v-power in my N/A and when I had my injectors professionally cleaned it made almost no difference so the additives in the fuel seem to be keeping the injectors clean?

Cheers Oakmere

Right i haven't done much up dating for a while as ive been waiting to do one big update.

First thing i did was fix my front lights as they were letting water in and steaming up, so it was the same process as the back lights, take them apart then stick them down with foam tape and then tiger sealed them to finish off.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Job done and refitted, hopefully they don't mist up now.

Posted Image

Next was to take my dash off and and fit my new cd player and fix the heaters to make them a bit better. So off came the dash and in the process i snapped my starter button wire, so I tried to solder it back together but had no luck so i bought one off ebay for £25.50

Posted Image

I then sealed around the heater/blower housing with tiger seal to stop it losing the air and make it come through the vents.

I got a pair of my girlfriends tights and cut a little square to fit the heater housing and then duck taped it on to stop the rest of the bugs and dust the mesh in the crash box doesn't catch.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Next was to seal the sponge bit inside the dash with tiger seal as mine had come off a bit.

Posted Image

whilst it was off I thought I would fit my new cd player to make the job easier to thread all the wires through the dash.
