Yep it was all the better for less cars! 15 maybe? not sure but was able to get lots of time in even though i was an hour and a half late due to the accident.

I thought the weather really made it a very useful day. Where else can you practice hard braking through big puddles at 80 mph.

I did however create a bow wave in the lake on the perimeter road which resulted in a inch of water in both foot wells and lots of steam for the next 30 minutes. Had to use my fleece to mop it up. My trainers, socks and carpets are now drying out in the bath :beat:

Think there was about 15 there, perhaps less. I had a good day though, I was bloody useless at the high speed bend but got a respectable time of 1.12 on the circuit. The journey back was a bit sketchy though as my tyres are pretty much 1.6mm - If not less perhaps

1:10.4 on the long circuit, 51.3 on the short (I think, or that may have been my second-best time). Was pleased with my work on the short circuit but the time on the long circuit was a pure show of brute force over technique -- I don't think I managed to do a single corner on that circuit in a way I was happy with (not helped by spending half the time trying to figure out where the next damn cone was and which side of it I needed to go!) For those interested, I got 55.2 miles out of 22.2 litres. I'd estimate at least 10 of those miles were very economical road use, which puts my fuel usage on a horrificly wet day at well under 10mpg  (Oh, and not a single spin -- in my car anyway. Rob's geo setup makes his a death-trap!)

I was teasing Fab, since he calls it a 'little n/a' or a big ITB-powered, bhp-laden beasty according to what suits

Hi all Glad to here the 2 people in the accident were ok, looked bad when we passed them on way to NW. Had a great day, made me realise how much practice I need; some of you guys are v fast. My first track event with the car and did 1m16s on long track and a 57.6s on shorter one, a long way of the fastest but good to see how fast you can get with practice. Look forward to seeing you all again next year; bit warmer next time hopefully! Kev

Pffft I was positively cheery you cheese eating surrender monkey :P Now I have a hatred of the HSB, but in the wet its so so so so so so much fun! Lots of spins, then Rob showed me the way with slides :D oh that was fun! Snoop let me have a go at the hsb in his car..... ok I did it at 45mph (if I'm lucky) but with the power and delivery I was giggling like a child (which incidentally is my gauge of a good car). The Circuits were fun, esp the little one with lots of oil all over it :P Directing snoop round the long course was an event in itself... hail, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST, 3Kg of downforce and steamed windows made for an interesting 1min 20 of my life.

I enjoyed watching some of the action today guys, such a shame some of the guys were involved in an accident on the way up to north wield, as long as no injuries were caused and everyone is ok is the main thing!! Some of the weather today was truly horrendous for driving.

I must say fab's vx is rather tasty and sounds superb. I have take a few videos which i can post up on youtube, i have only managed one this evening which can be seen HERE

I would also like to add the only photo i took on the day due to only having my cameraphone of the glorious rainbow, unfortunately this happened to get spoilt by slindborg going backwards on the high speed bend! :groupjump:
