Directing snoop round the long course was an event in itself... hail, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST, 3Kg of downforce and steamed windows made for an interesting 1min 20 of my life.

Bitch. It was a 1:19.8 at least. ;)

I wish I'd had a tape recorder to record your directions, intermingled with assorted swearing, it would have been quite amusing

I did some filming on the short course, will get round to sorting it during the week, HD takes fecking ages to process. The recording would have been a bit like this Me: Go round that cone to the right of it, head down towards the HSB... Snoop: Just one corner at a time Me: OK Walshy: 3,2,1,go Me: ARGHHHHHHHHH feck, stay to the right of this one Snoop: Where is it, I cant see a cone Me: Just aim for the trailer thing and turn left 'Hail turns up and we die twice'

Anyone got any videos of meeeeeee? :)

Sorry Snoops, no footage of you as I only ventured down to the short circuit for 5 minutes as it was too exposed. By the time you came up to the long circuit, I'd put the camera away. :(

so the turbo boys ....... ...... .......... rallly
little n/a did 1.11.5 on the circuit same as p11cov  best time was snop with 1.10.4 but too much power  (thanks for all the pax ride)
sprint circuit 54.4 with awlfull condition
slingbord was miserable as usual and rob was good fun :)

good to meet few's new face and well done to the honda intergra type r for keeping up and the exit was Imnotworthy ............sorry on your aerial

That exit... I cannot believe I did that, I just didn’t see the mental link across the fence until it was too late.

Most of the marks have polished out, need a new aerial and the spoiler needs some paint. Could have been worse though.

I took some pictures but rain and my battery running low made it difficult...

Thanks too Crazy Frog, Alex and last but not least Tom who let me have a go in his car.

Possibly the worst time to drive a VX, but I’m very certain I will be getting one now.

I think the Integra with Andy got the best time of the day around the Long circuit

I got 1.17 so not too bad.

Does any one have a contact email or number for Andy Walsh, I gave my umbrella to him and forgot to collect it....

Ouch -- must have left before that but sounds nasty. Those chains were so difficult to see in that weather, I was double-checking each time I went through to make sure I'd got the right gap :(

Rob should be able to get in touch with Andy or get your umbrella off him (RobNA on here)

I can't believe you got away with it so lightly. I honestly expected it too have left some gouges across the roof and to have ripped the spoiler off. Maybe it was lucky you went through the "gap" as quickly as you did.

Would definitely be wise to have some reflective tape or similar on the chain though - certainly in grim conditions like yesterday.

Right, I've dried out enough to type now. Great day, thanks to everyone who made it great, thanks Snoop and Stuart for letting me drive your cars, and thanks Snoop for pinging my EML :glare: 53.1 on the short one 1.12 on the longer one In my weedy NA :P I am sure Snoop and P11 COV will agree that braking on the way back down the straight on the short circuit was "exciting" to say the least when the braking point was right where a massive amout of water was flowing accross the road  with the ABS unplugged  perfect place to have a play with doing such stupid things though :D Who wants to do another?

thanks Snoop for pinging my EML :glare:

Sorry about that, nobody told me you weren't supposed to run an engine backwards! I thought that's how reverse gear worked! ;)

(Seriously though, sorry! )

You may also want to check the area behind the clutch pedal for a dent, I wasn't anticipating it being quite so light the first couple of times ;)

I am sure Snoop and P11 COV will agree that braking on the way back down the straight on the short circuit was "exciting" to say the least when the braking point was right where a massive amout of water was flowing accross the road  with the ABS unplugged  perfect place to have a play with doing such stupid things though :D

It was interesting indeed, although I was amazed how well the ABS worked on 'track' compared to how rubbish it feels on the road, the only time I missed the apex was when I was significantly too late on the brakes. The main issue I had was the puddle on the apex which was so deep it would cover the windscreen in about 2 gallons of water when I hit it (and me one time when I forgot to put the window up)

Who wants to do another?

Me me me! Another Sunday please.

Or even visibly moving at all. ;)

Seriously, you give the guy a ~290bhp turbo nutter VXT with suspension, brakes, and LSD and he does the high-speed bend at... 45mph.

To be fair I would rather he did that than ran my engine backwards. Did I mention you ran my engine backwards?

Yes, yes you did. :ninja:

To be fair if you will have a crazy lunatic amount of oversteer you can't be entirely surprised that it caught me out the first time. :P

N222? If so, I've got one of your long circuit laps as well. I'll convert it now and slap it up onto YouTube.
