Had a look on xbox live this morning, no sign of the demo thumbsdown I was hoping to sneak in a cheeky half hour before work - no joy though :(

I thought it was 'alright' but a bit too much like GT now for my liking, it seems to have lost some of the realism. all of the cars feel too well planted maybe its just that i dont like the cars in the demo but first impressions wernt good.

Had a half hour blast on it before I went out last night.

First impressions were good! The graphics aren't miles better - the cars and backgrounds look a bit more solid, I think it still runs at 60fps IIRC.

I played it with all of the assists off, the handling seemed more realistic in my opinion. The weight shift under braking seems more severe.

The in game 'rewind' feature is pretty cool, but it does feel like cheating slightly. On the plus side it will put an end to those really annoying moments when you loose a 25 lap race on the last corner

You get to chose from about 6 cars and only one fictional track which looks a little too 'arcade' for my liking - the scenery looks too amazing to be realistic. You get to race against a load of other cars, including a Porsche Cayenne which seems to be pretty fast round the track

I didn't like the sound of this feature when they announced it but I think in reality it will be worth the loss of realism to fix exactly that! I used to get so pissed off after winning for 18mins to lose it on literally the last corner due to lack of concentration

Too bad I'm only xbox live silver so I can't get the demo til next Thrusday :(

First impressions very good. Tricky without driver aids but really rewarding when you get it right (see poor lap time below!) Managed 1:03:623 using the GT3-RSR, top 3% but still almost 6 seconds off the pace

I'll hopefully get some time to play it tonight.

I'd be very happy to get under the 1 minute mark, never mind 00:57:886

In the demo I've got you can only do a 2 lap race with other cars. Is there another demo out or something??

You can compare lap times at the end of the race by going into the leaderboard.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the You Tube clips - they seem to be on a 1 lap timed run??? I must have missed something too.
