Does anyone know how to use online racing? When I search for a race it dumps me in a lobby on my own and am unable to change the race options???

I got a bit carried away with the Paint feature:

You can download this livery from my storefront for a mere 10,000 of your hard earned credits

Haha, nice one Richie. Looks a peach! :P

I just bought Forza 3 today and have been playing it for most of the afternoon (love working part time!!). Already bought (and tuned the nuts off, so much so I can barely drive it) a VXT and an Esprit. Good times. I was wondering if anyone used a wheel at all? I was looking at getting one, but whats the best one to get? I want one that works with a PS3 too, is that possible?!?

AFAIK currently the only wheel is the Microsoft one. If you can wait a bit there is an awesome (discussed on the other Forza 3 thread I think) one with manual clutch and gearstick coming soon.

The graphics look stunning in those pics! What wheels are those RichieK?

I downloaded the demo.... less than impressed. Prehaps I was expecting too much

the pgr drift kudos seems a touch out of sorts. Having the option of a clutch is quite cool though :)
Shant be buying this till its in the bargain bins

I was quite unimpressed with the demo, can't really put my finger on why. Maybe it's the whole game experience that makes a difference rather than being given 5 cars and 1 track to play. Try renting it and playing it for a while til you get sucked in ;)

Can anyone shed any light on the lack of F, E, D, C & B online racing?

Only if circuit racing there in street racing option

not for me? F-B isn't listed on any race format?

Is this how it will always be or is it a bug?

It makes me wan't to not play the game tbh. I only ever really play online and only ever really raced D and C on forza 2.

Had it a few days now having not really played any racing games for years except maybe Burnout. I was expecting quite a lot to be honest, the last game like this I played was the first GT on playstation so things should have moved on considerably. Sure it looks pretty good, especially the cars but you expect that. Whats most impressive is the way it feels, I do feel like I am driving a car, a fast car, slow car, light car, heavy car they all feel different but feel right. Modding the car, superb. I may be missing something but there seems to be a distict lack of feeling like I am in a race series, it just keeps chucking cars and tracks at me, no sense of where I am racing or who I am up against, who I need to beat in a particular race to progress up the leaderboard, no particular emphasis on the leaderboard at all really. Not played it online yet, I suspect this would give it a much needed desire to win feeling, never joined XBOX Live but this is tempting me. And still after all these years pitting in is a magical repair sequence, wheres the pit crew :(

Just thought, it could be your router settings. You'll need to open up the xbox live ports on your router to allow you to get in connection with the game servers and other players. Even if other games work this could still be the problem as some are more picky than others.

If what I just said means nothing to you then I can find instructions :P

TBH i just play private games, you still get cash and XP and you can configure it how you want. it can be you and one mate and then the rest AI cars or as it is for me i have 5 or 6 mates with it and then add the AI. I dont really like racing pure online because most players are idiots! Ive been doing Mount Fuji whatsit full, 10 miles of uphill and down the other side, its a full bore challenge and if you come first its an easy 13k xp and about £40k when you race the AI on hard!

hi ,just a question on driving games. My son is getting an xbox, and my other son a ps3 ,which is the best driving game to go for.I used to do all the colin mcrea ones so would like a game just for me as the kids just like blood and guts.

If you want something similar get DIRT 2, but IMO it's become much less realistic over the years compared to old colin mcrae games. If you want realistic road racing and a frankly massive game then Forza 3. NFS Shift is pretty balance between realistic and arcade but I think it would get boring a bit quickly.

looks good - I don't think it sets the world alight (Car models look mediocre imo, only need to look two posts up, the environments lack subltety, and some effects have been removed, tyre smoke for example). Infact i wouldn't be surprised if in time, Forza 2 isn't thought to be the better game (you hear it here first!) I haven't actually got it yet though, so i may change my mind, but by all acounts its a lot better than the demo, but that doesn't say much. Having said that, the multiplayer is as good as before and thats great for online giggles. thumbsup

Not realistic?

I agree with JG on that particular picture, it does look very flat. However when playing I think it generally looks extremely good- better than pictures would have you believe.

In Crimsons pic it's worth pointing out that there on no reflections on the car because it is not in a 'real' enviroment there (just the virtual 'view a car mode') so that will never look as good as when it's in an actual track location. PS what are those wheels Crimson?
