We shortened the front damper a little to minimise droop, the car was set to 120mm front, 130mm rear (although that has now settled a bit, so I'll have to make a few adjustments to the ride height)
Initial impressions are bloody fantastic, the ride is actually smoother than with the Gold kit fitted - I've yet to have a proper play with the damping adjustment tho
The kit will be released later this year

are the fronts going to be long enough to get std ride height if desired?
theres always one................. and its always you

I like to be consistent
not the end of the world if they cant, I'd just get new front mounts made to permit it

are the rears going to be long enough not to dent the wishbones?

If I get a chance I'll do a few 'tests'
(with 500lb springs I don't imagine the wishbone denting issue will be too much to worry about)

I'll try and measure itwill they have lots of droop , to give plenty of wheel articulation , don't like it when you take out a VX on a bumpy test route and you can feel the individual wheels get airbourne
usually a problem where the springs are too soft, so the damping rate is set too stiff causing it to react too slow to road undulations
I don't imagine there will be much as it's a compromise between droop and the springs dislocating from the collet, in this case with 8" rear and 6" front springs they have stopped the springs dislocating - it may be an option to use a helper spring

Theo gets out his popcorn and his penny jar.Looks like pistils at dawn in the damper market! I fitted the first set of Nitron street series last week which were incredibly impressive for the price and will be going head to head with these damper which, to be fair, look pretty smart too.

I still don't understand anything like enough about suspension but my talks with Chris Randall, and the way he has set my car up, have convinced me that stiff springing with softish damping are a good way to go.
OK, nitrons with helpers are better but out of budget
Those Gaz look lush BTW

since mine i have seen dented wishbones on standard suspension.. so i dont think it should be a problem.

Hi Chris. Have Nitron contracted you to exclusively selling their damper products? Just wondering if your 'commitment' to them is becuase you have to or because you just dont think anything else is worth considering (to date).
If you are honestly more open to more cost effective solutions such as the GAZ products and are genuinely interested would you like a closer look? Elise kit a couple of weeks away.
I'd spoken to a number of people about bending and its clear the problem is caused by damper 'bottoming' it's actually doing what it's designed to. You dont really want to increase bump travel so much that the wheel impacts the clam (front for sure, never checked the rear). It does seem to be more of an issue at the back and maybe there is enough clearance to give more bump travel. Maybe something like the Toyota Bilstein S2 kit on the earlier cars. Of course, many sports car designers moved away from this style of wishbone with in-built bending moments.
