My understanding is that 200-210bhp (stage 1) is about the max you can get from the standard exhaust.

I am in the position where I don't want to change to a better manifold until I uprate the rods as I don't want to put them under too much strain. (Not because I am trying to run the VX on £5 FAB!!! ;))

Oh, and rev limit is set to 6900 with a hard cut at 7000.

There were no fuel pump concerns mentioned...

i got limited to 6.5K as i had maxed out the injectors

No fuel pump issues for me only the fact that if they left the 7K limit i would not have a bottom end and would end up like joe  i need rods :D

What is the save rev limit of the standard valve springs 7200? I know most upgrades sttop at 6800 but TMS has had 7500. Just don't know if upgraded springs are worth it if setting the rev limit at 7000? £300.00 + is a lot to pay for valve springs! Cheers Oakmere

standard valve springs are fine upto 7000 rpm, they might even work upto 7500 rpm, but you will get valve bounce at some point. double valve springs are expensive, especially as you need to remove the head to fit them. also if you haven't got steel rods then don't bother with high rpm
