I've ordered the same header tank as Jameshs which sits behind the engine header, so i'll have a chat with him to see if it's at all feasible. Lee for the record could you give me an idea of cost at some stage chinky chinky

I will give him a ring a few more people want it done so might get a group discount

not taking the p*ss, all part of the learning curve but why would you want to extend the ecu etc unless you wanted to make room for something else.

a quick wiring 'to do' list for the conversion;

move ecu
extend injector looms
extend ecu earth cable
extend fuel tank vent valve loom
extend MAP sensor loom
if you are fitting the sc 68mm tb then rewire and extend the tb loom
fit egr cheater and fit blanking plate

fit the courtenay fan 'mod' - an extra coolant temp sensor, one side to chassis 0v and the other to x2 pin 13 Blue/grey - cut the wire and join the new sensor to the wire going to the fan relay (not the wire going to the ecu)

add the charge cooler relay, I use the starter motor as the +12v supply, wire that cable to the fuse and then to pin 30 of the relay, pin 87 goes to the new pump +12v, pin 85 goes to 0v, pin 86 goes to the fuel pump +12v brown/grey (this can be found in the large loom below the air filter on the chassis)
The pump will also require a 0v

Just wondering if the cable has to be a certain rating for these things.

When you do the SC conversion, you will find that the normal ECU place is now occupied with the blower thingy. So you need to relocate it to somewhere suitable and that requires wire lengthening. Also the TB is in a different place, so more wires to modify... B) Edit rating: You mean wire thickness. Most are sensor wires, so just use something with similar thickness. Only the power feeds/grounds for the IC pump relais etc. need a decent gauge wire...

On my Intake manifold, for sleep at night factor, I want to replace the 'O' rings on the cores, the green plastic washer on the intake bypass and the thin rubber gasket that goes between the intake body and the endplate. Does anyone know where i can source these bits. Part numbers would also help. Cheers in advance thumbsup

Well failing getting replacements is there something I can do to make the originals more of a seal by adding some sort of sealant on installation?

injector looms - 0.75mm ecu earth cable - 2.5mm fuel tank vent valve loom - 0.75mm MAP sensor loom - 0.75mm if you are fitting the sc 68mm tb - 0.75mm and 1mm for pins E and F charge cooler pump 0v and 12v - 2.5mm charge cooler relay coil wiring - 0.75mm courtenay fan 'mod' - 0.75mm you can use 1.0mm for the 0.75mm if you wish so you need approx; 5m x 0.75mm 5m x 1mm 5m x 2.5mm

you could use some engine gasket sealant, but I'm sure they will be fine without

Yeah  just thought while i have the opportunity to replace. The 'O' rings I guess are the things to replace so I'll see what I can source at the local MF's

Just clean them well and then refit with some o-ring silicone grease. Should be fine.

Exmantaa, thanks for the pdf. I'll have a look around for some replacement O rings, I just feel that if something goes wrongs with them then I could be getting coolant where it shouldn't be. It's all pretty low pressure on the water side so there is probably little risk but it's easy to sort now than once everything is installed. Cheers for your help thumbsup

Warning.

Be sure the dual pass mod is fitted correctly otherwise it will foul the oil filter housing and make fitting the inlet manifold impossible.
