I recently bought the VDO 4802 as an upgrade, along with the temprature probe. Took it all along to my local car radio installers, and got them to fit a pair of Kenwood speakers that they recomended. The 4802 gives warnings through the front speakers, so I asked them to switch the wires over in the plug, the same with the live feed. Returned a couple of hours later, everything ok, but they couldn`t connect temp probe as interface was missing, and they couldn`t connect the speed sensor,so reccomend my main dealer do it. Today, Vx goes in for an oil and filter change, and I asked the workshop if they can look at radio as well. I returned to the workshop later and was asked `who fitted the radio?`Why I asked? They replied that the wires have been cut and spliced!` They didnt bother switching the pins in the plugs, just cutting the wires and switching them around. The whole point in getting the VDO set is that it would be a straight swap! Any thoughts on this? Steve V. :D

Does anyone know if the radio loom is separate from the main loom? ie can it be replaced? Steve V.
