Just had my 3rd AMM fitted 1000 miles, 2700 miles and 7000 miles These are going to cost a fortune if the design is not sorted before the warranty runs out. How much worse will it be if you upgrade the power and therefore presumably the airflow?

VXR's come with a VXT exhaust, you could spec either a Milltek/VXR back box or a full system from the dealer. thumbsup AMM's only blow when you change the airbox in some way, its nowt to do with power. Since testing (and failing) almost every aftermarket filter on the planet on mine (and blowing 4 AMM's in the process) I've been on a stock airbox with 300bhp (ish) and not one has failed thumbsup

Ask the dealer to take out the foam filter and replace it with a paper one, that will sort it.

OooooooooooOOOOOOoooooooo don't start ... :poke: replacing the original spec'd one with an inferior bodge. Rather they fixed the root of the problem tbh (or until the warranty runs out which is probably going to be more likely) :D Ahh well all part of the fun I spose :) Edt: I know Stu H said 2bhp loss with paper filter at most... but that not the point.

:D :D AMM are covered under warranty in the VXR...so getting them replaced is not a problem....just pop down to your local friendly VXL dealer (VXR).... am in NZ at moment....just a shame that the VXR isnt here with me....it would certainly turn some heads.. B) Mani
