Wow that was car no 35!

Spoke to the guys earlier today and Number 35 (the car there) is a customer car Already sold and gone to the customer!

it looks like there not releasing them in number order. Maybe the ohlins and different colours take longer to prepare etc.

Very strange, Be interesting if Stu could comment on why no 35 is ready and no 10 is not?

Dear all I have managed to get a small amount of information which I think might be worth mentioning ; The cars are not being built in strict order (I guess some of the dealers who elected to delay recipt will still get lower numbers) but at the moment the production of the base car (ie with non VXR seat & VXT wheels BUT with VXR numbered placque) is into the low 50's. The production is around 5 per week but as this is mixed in with VXT's & speedsters it's not a defintive figure. The VXR conversion process obviously takes place after this and so there are quite a few of the 50 cars awaiting this stage. Sorry I can't be any more detailed but that's all I know Cheers, Ian PS. The rumour is that one car did cause the rest to be delayed some what but I am unanable to confirm this

Well guys, I have this weekend been advise of the status of my VXR, which I was hoping to get this weekend , but alas that was not to be! However, I do have some new details, I will now be picking my the car up from Hethel on Wednesday afternoon, woo hoo

Hmmm i wonder, maybe some dealers preordered to get them sooner, but hadn't sold them. Then those sold in order to people via different delaer may end up waiting becasue their order hasn't been placed, BUT they are no. 10 etc in the queue? just my 10cent

Yes Mr Harris, can you say why car 35 is ready for the customer, and cars with lower numbers are not? It would be interesting to know when car 35 was orderd. I went after a VXR as soon as I heared about it, end of July last year I was contacted by a vaux dealer, who took all my details, deposit etc, and was told I should get one, then early this year I was informed that car 10 was mine(i did want no7)

i think whats happening is youre getting youre order number mixed up with build number. evo youre car proberbly isnt number 10 but you have order number 10 they dont number them in any particuler order. same thing happened with the lightnings. mines due sometime next week

I have been told that originally I was getting car no:3, then this changed, but I have not been given a car number since, was just told that the cars were not being rolled out in any particular number order Still on Wednesday I will know exactly what number it is

Just checked the original invoice - ordered 7th June 2003 3 weeks after I collected my VXT. (If that makes any of you waiting feel slightly better about my car turning up before yours.)
