For my money, I bet they end up on autotrader or here within weeks of their purchase by these 'grey' owners - probably been sold on spec by over-enthusiastic salesmen. How many VXTs have we seen recently with low mileage, only 6 months old? I bet people read about them, buy them, then realise it's a pretty damn hardcore sports car. Same rule will apply to VXRs but multiplied many times over.
You guys might not have seen it or even had a test drive but I know that you all have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Just out of curiosity (and to bolster my conspiracy theoryMy first reply on the forum, so hope I've got it right.
My dealer tells me I'm number 12 - due early July. Everything's crossed in the hope of no hold-ups, can't wait!!

Driving history can be boring, but in shorthand I did a day at Hethel with Lotus a couple of years ago and came away with the track challenge trophy (not bad I thought for 1 girlie out of 4 and 20 chaps) then, bitten by the bug of proper driving I got a Subaru Impreza and have followed that with an Impreza STi. Test drove the VX220T last year and was about to order when I saw the VXR / Sprint one-off in the motoring press. That was it - I was in love!
I certainly won't be doing anything with it other than having a huge amount of fun.
PS May not be the youngest on the forum, but I am definitely not grey!

I meant mysterious and distant rather than elderly!
I came from an Impreza P1 to a VX and it's a whole stack more fun to drive!

Sounds like have an idea of what to expect but I still think there's a chunk of people out there on the VXT/VXR list who haven't really apprecieated what it's actually like to live with these cars on a regular basis.
