Very unlucky indeed but I think most of us saw this one coming. Nothing was changed in the AMM area for the VXR and it has nothing to do with the oil ( at least it hasn't on any VXT ) since they'll blow even when the filter is fitted dry. At least you're covered under warranty but its frustrating when you go through loads in a matter of months! Hope you get it fixed soon.oh...by the way ..my baby has the engine management light on....something to do with the filter /air mass flow meter... ..apparently it may be the performance filter having too much oil on it...
well Stu is on the case...and one has been ordered..

Actually....once I got the engine management light on ...I had a funny feeling it was going to be the AMM..
Timbo commented about the new performance filter and the potential future problems at the European meet...
his words were "I guess VXL must have sorted out the filter /amm on the VXR then..."
not quite...

TimboVauxhall are a bunch of muppets
(we all knew that).
This amm problem has been on going since the year dot, so what do they do, put foam filters in vxr's.
Hello, wake up, it doesnt work, but saying that just for research purposes i am now running a modded air box, foam filter and modded amm!!!
But only cause i have two spare amm's
my car is going in on the 19th.....we will see after that ...whether VXL have sorted the problem or not..

I do and I have my spare AMM in the boot for when it goes popBletch, but you do use an induction kit (a Timbo special
)
