I'm going to guess there will be no more than 10 because I'm a pessimistic conspiracist

This actually isn't a major cause for concern because most VXR owners will not be 'upgrading' from another VX, I think you lot are quite unusual in that respect.

Let's just say I have now lost faith in the specification and I am waiting to see the real deal !

There are 46 orders. Of which 9 are dealer demos. There is 1 Moonland , 1 Yellow and 1 Black There are 2 ladies Most sold by Crownhill Cars 17 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 33 , 36 , 37 and 40 are dealer cars As for forum members there are not as many as you think. First 5 cars are completed (according to Lotus on week 23) . I'm awaiting an update from Lotus Stu

It does seem surprising that so many dealers have picked them up since peeps who try them probably are not going to be able to buy one due to the limited numbers? Window candy? That would be a real shame.

I'm less surprised about the low number of forum members who have placed an order, they already have VXs and most cannot justify the price to change. I suspect we'll see a surge in forum numbers though as these people join....to sell their VXRs I wonder if these people considered the Exige in comparison, or if they came here after trying an elise and a turbo only. Edit:I'm not saying the VXR won't be totally sweet I just think a lot of non-member peeps buying them are going in with their hand in the sand about what it really means and could be in for a surprise.

I'm awaiting an update from Lotus

Any news on parts availability yet? I'm still keen to get the wheels (amongst other things) but the local dealer doesn't have any mention of a VXR on the system yet. Part numbers would be handy too as i don't trust the peeps on the parts desk to find them.

Ben, wheels are in production at Speedline. We get the first sets on May 21st.....Motorshow is May 25th...us , worried , not a bit. The wheelswill be sold thru Vauxhall Motorsport. I'll advise details a bit later. Stu

mani i have decided to go with red! as it looks as if i shall have to let the mini go! this is how sad i have been....the mini is in the colours of my local football team ( southampton!) red/white/black so as we have the option of the vxr stickers i have red/white/black available! stu did panick when he realised he hadnt planned a second yellow one! but i got to admit after owning a lightning for the last 2 years you will not believe the looks it commands!

Mani, no those are customer cars. Mine arrive before Motorshow... I hope as they are on display there !! Windscreen stickers are working out at £25. In two parts VXR and a backing . Soon as I get better details I'll post Stu

sorry to hear that the mini may go....as you know I've love Red and Yellow as colours....and as I have had the pleasure of having a calypso red for last couple of years.....a yellow is a must this time round.

Its just a shame that the stickers dont actually go with the yellow, as they are designed for the red....otherwise I would have loved to have them on the car...

hey maybe Southampton could have a new mascot VXR!!
