Wow! just come back after two weeks holiday and you are all getting your VXR's. :( Meeeeeeeeee to  had a phone call and the COR form from Lance Owen so it's down to me to get myself into gear. Did notice that the date of registration is 7/9/04 which seems strange? But no problem as I have used a private plate on it. How do we go about dealing with the promised track day? Should be with me around 1/10/04 Still looking at insurance quotes which is causing a few problems.

CANCELLED

rant

I have just got so sick of waiting. Neil Hughes told me it left Lotus in August. I know it is at Baylis. No-one wll return my calls.

I even had to cancel by fax.

Still no-one has bothered to call.

According to my contact at vauxhall customer service, 5 more staff have left. That's on top of the two who left just after Steve. What is going on down there?

Vauxhall Customer care, like no other you have experienced !!

There was me thinking the VXR was on of their flagship models.

Its the lack of an update thats really annoying - and thats off the sales manager

After i was let down yesterday, I, again, had to ring them at 1030 "yep, going into PDI now..." - it was supposed to be there at 9am!

I then had to ring back at 330 because of no update - i dont work in MK anymore and would have to leave at 415 to get there for 530 - it was still in PDI :beat: "err....its got a small leak from a pipe into the turbo!" I went absolutely mad, really mad! I called back and said "take the pipe of a showroom car" reply="we could but its a 3 hour job for each pipe!" Hmmm.... more like grease monkeys cant be arsed tonight!

Anyway, sent Stu a text, he called to say cars were gone over at Hethal. Lotus are calling crownhill and will send out an engineer tomorrow if necessary thumbsup thumbsup

I havent slept for 2 nights in anticipation!!!! :sleepy:

It is absolutely disgracefull how some of you have and are being treated. thumbsdown I know i'm not helping you at all by saying this but it is just really pissing me off how Vauxhall can't seem to pull their own heads out of their arses. I would probably have done what Joss has to be honest.

i am a reasonable person(i think) - problems happen every day. Its a niche car and, with that, problems happen more often. But i cant stand people not ringing me back. Its plain rude! Especially when i am spending £30k! I bet if i had rolled over (or not know Stu) and had said "oh, ok....", I would have to wait another 3 work days for the part! Lets hope it gets fixed by them, Lotus, father frikkin' chrismas tomorrow :D thumbsup

little update - dealer and Stu rang back. Dealer said part will be in tomorrow or they will take it off a showroom car. Stu said that Lotus called and discussed with Crownhill mechanic. They think the oil is a dribble from where the turbo units were swapped over, no real leak.... So they will do a test tomorrow am... Fingers crossed it all goes right tomorrow thumbsup

I guess you've seen the 'Vxr On The Forecourt At Crownhill' and Bengie's post :o

Also this raise's an intresting legal point as YOU have the V5 in YOUR NAME for the said car - are you taking bets on how long it'll take to cancell the car

Also ; Some of the Dealers Cars

No.21 - FOR SALE AGAIN - Optional Balloons FITTED ! - £29,995 04 Plate - Archie Moss Showroom, Loughborough

I don't think Stu is all that happy how some of these deliveries have been handled. :( I know he's been working his tits off sorting stuff like this when its the dealers job. :beat: I know from bitter experience that sometimes supply of goods and mechanical issues arise and that this means some flexibility. I mean, I've been letting people down on delays to hardtops and CF sillguards but I always make sure that phonecalls are returned, PM's answered and emails replied to - and this isn't my job. Not keeping people informed is unforgiveable but sadly endemic in the whole car industry (any manufacturer) it seems.

Thorney, vauxhall dont really give a s**t. I love the car its a shame that vauxhall does care about the customers that part with hard earned cash to pay for them. p*ss up in a brewery comes to mind. Sorry for the strong feelings but if I run my business like vauhall there would be no business

There are 2 parts to vauxhall, the manufacturer and the dealers. I agree that some bits of the manufacturer and some of the dealers don't care :( . However there are bits of both I honestly believe work very hard and are just as upset by stories like this as we are.
