What gave me away ? I ordered on March 13th but don't have the order number. Can anyone else who ordered around that time give me an idea ? PS Will the Radio/CD/DAB/Pre-wiring question ever be answered ? Cheers, Ian :P

from what i've been told the VXR will come pre wired so you don't have to buy a head unit from vauxhall. You can either ask your dealer what number you have been given or pm stu harris and he will be able to tell you when you will receive the car. Are you planning on getting the stickers + the other extras yuo can buy?

All the pre wiring is there and the speakers BUT not a radio cut out. If anyone wants a radio cutout then send a pm so I can add it to the build and we can fit a nice pre finished item. There is a small charge as we have to make them up on 'as ordered' basis as I don;t want loads of these hanging about. Stu

Stu, I'd recommend you try to get some more info re: VXR to the VX dealers - especially Lookers of Chester. They haven't a clue what a VXR is thumbsdown May be that it's Lookers who are dopey xxxx's! :beat: :beat: :beat:

mine are the same but i think only certain dealers are allowed to sell the VXR and so only them have been told about it.

I can now add my number to the list, however it looks like '34' is already assigned so I am a little  With the options, I will want a radio hole, so Lotus (I wish) or myself can fit a Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB (as fitted in the elise 111r Touring Pack). I would rather go without the stickers - I'm the Italian version of Henry Ford - Any colour as long as it's RED. Less than 12 days till I can see the car at the Motorshow. Cheers, Ian :D

I went to Italy following the Mille Miglia with a colleague in an Elise and went to buy a VXT on my return. The dealer mentioned the VXR so I went to the NEC. I liked the VXR and bought one. Expected September but don't know the number. You need not anticpate seeing it for sale, but I will keep my SAAB till I decide whether to live with just the VXR or both. I did some net research and found the board - wish I knew about it before the purchase. Will use for mainly road and unsure about Oh My God shock absorbers. Any VX advice as to reccomended options would be very welcome. I discovered the VXR b4 the board - I hope that doesn't offend anyone.

Quick update. The Pagid RS14 pads are going to be packaged in the boot with - For track use only - plasterered over the bag. So you get 2 sets of pads and you decide what to run..... We're running all our cars on Pagid but just make sure you brake properly ie a proper shove, not gentle push to clear the 'pick up' that these leave on the discs. They squeal a bit too until they're up to temperature. Letters all gone out with a little VXR badge for you to wear.....bit delayed as the file got corrupted. VXR sunstrips will be £20. I'll let you know where to get them from. Again same material as we use on the BTCC sunstrips to idenitfy the drivers. No joy on the harness bar , still comedy pricing. First cars get turbos fitted on Friday and the first 10 should be getting phone calls to ensure they still want the car etc... by end of week Yesterday and today a 111R and VXR are at Brands for a track and road shoot out. Be in next weeks issue of Autocar I think. Wheels are being delivered today and tomorrow so I'll sort out the 'production' wheels and get the remainder over to Motorsport and then post how non VXR customers can obtain. Brake upgrade on VXR is only calibrated to 16" wheels...still under discussion about a release for VXT/NA. Its not calibrated for the 17" front. There are 9 VXR's left plus the dealer cars (8) Stu

Thanks Stu! Look forward to the badge! Oh and free spare pads in the boot, I assume we can get dealers to fit them for us?

Woohoo! Got my letter and little pin badge this morning. :D Took me straight back to 1975 when I joined the Beano club. Does the owner's pack include a sew-on patch with rolling headlight eyes? Andy :groupjump:

I'm just waiting for the passenger laps at brunters before i fully commit to the VXR now. I did my palmer sports day yesterday and the VXT was nothing like i expected. The only advantage over an NA IMO was the speed down the straights. I'm just hoping the VXR feels as fast round a track as i hope it will be. At the moment i'm seriously thinking of joining the house of "purebob" as at the moment i feel the NA is the better car. (both in standard form mind ;) ) I just don't want to spend over 30k on a car that i haven't driven and then sell the following day if it doesn't fulfill my expectations of the car. So it's up to the person driving the VXR on the day to show me it's full potential B) Will he be VXR enough? :P
