The exhaust is the one which is made by milltek. You don't hear it too much at low revs but when it is under load it gives out a nice note B)  If you are coming to the national meet you will hear it there and then you can decide if it is for you.

Wicky, the exhaust may have different characteristics on the VXR as apposed to the NA/turbo, but on both of these it is the other way around. At tick over you get a nice rumble and with a few revs it growls, but under load it quietens up. That is why I got it, 'cos on the motorways at 80 you can't hear it.

I agree with Wicky. The Milltek exhaust is quiet on tickover and low revs, not much different than standard, but under load it really opens up into a nice note.

On motorways at 80 its not under load at all, your just cruising, hence the nice quiet noise

Sorry Ian, have to disagree with you regarding the zort, mine (vxt) is quiet at tickover and with just light throttle but under load it sounds like a racing car :D (ask TT). On the motorway when cruising its drowned out by the wind unless you accelerate then its heard over the wind. All imo of course :P

sorry mate .....Ive got the loudest exhaust on my 2.2 (Vaux sports!!) :P

I am not too sure about the miltek...being used to a vauxhall sports...the miltek is too quiet for my liking...and the matter is made worse as turbos tend to be quieter than na's

So I am holding off at moment...until I hear it in the flesh!

How embarassing - I appear to have a VXR sitting around allocated to me. I put my name down for one ages ago but never heard anything more about it. Apparently it was built and sent out without me ever receiving conformation, placing a deposit or specifying any options. So good news for anyone who wants one I guess because it's ready - please call Tony Rios on 07909 928 993

I also want kickplates, centre brace, and gear gate!! And the racing harnesses when they can be arranged. The Olhens (Ohlens)suspension I dont want, as Ill only go on track in my own car 2-3 times a year, and the ordinary sus seemed good enough , and on this car it is being uprated, nuff said!! chinky chinky

why do you need to insure at event 48? Surely you only need to insure when you pick it up??

ive decided against the ohlins simple fact is i cant afford um at the mo :9mm: i think the standard are gunna be prity good anyways. better spent on some lotus training methinks thumbsup why do you have to insure it before its registered wouldnt this be covered with lotus or youre dealer.

thats what they have told me....they will need insurance documents at event 48 to insure before it moves over to Lotus motorsport for the VXR treatment....its also in the letter that Stu sent out...

spoke to my insurance company and they were a bit funny about insuring a car which is not in the possession of the owner!
