Re the insurance issue it just like any other time you go to pick up a new car. To get it taxed the dealer must have an insurance certificate (cover note etc..) . The difference here is that you insure , tax , register the car....then some time later pick it up And Mani hasn;t had a call because we're re trimming his stunning red seats in black as yellow and red don;t go ...do they Stu

This is all getting a little..."mine's bigger than yours..so there!"...

However, I think (at over 113db), my Courtenay exhaust may give you guys an "ear bashing"

How about we meet up in a Toys R Us carpark and have a "zoorst off"...

My insurance wont issue a certificate till they get a date when I take delivery of the car, and cant get verification on the 1/7/04 date I was given 2 weeks ago!

regarding insurance...I was under the impression that you needed insurance docs as soon as it came off the production line from the factory....before it was "VXR"d at Lotus motorsport..... so naturally I was still expecting a call .......as I though the re-trimming would be done at the motorsport end...

never mind.....time is ticking and I am getting

Well....just got a call from the dealer about event 48!, hopefully the car will be registered, taxed tommorow and then moving to completion! anyone else recieve that long awaited call??? Mani ps insurance company- LIverpool Victoria is a pain in the arse! they keep on giving me quotes with a 400XS although I have sorted a quote out for a 250 xs....wont be going through them again! Bar stewards!

it could be that the letters are being sent out in batches ???????

by the way...VXR badge is quite cool.....will bring it along to the VX weekend..

may even allow some of you to touch it.....

I received my letter and badge last wednesday.

I have also received a PM from Stu which added that a couple of dealers have elected to move to the bottom of the list and so my car (No.34) should be finished by end of July latest.

Sorry Mani,
But I have to disagree with this,I've taken an order today(this morning)for a VXR & won't see the car til late September.Which rules out 10 a week.Incidently there were 5 left after this order,excluding dealer cars.
