Sorry Mani,
But I have to disagree with this,I've taken an order today(this morning)for a VXR & won't see the car til late September.Which rules out 10 a week.Incidently there were 5 left after this order,excluding dealer cars.

I had a call from the dealer today to confirm that my car has been registered and is moving to the second phase of being VXRd!
Vauxhall wont confirm delivery times at moment...but they said I should be looking at 2 weeks....that takes me to mid July....

better late than never...as long as I have it before Luxemburg trip!!

when i saw Stu the other week he said it would be a slow start but they "hoped to ramp it up to 10 a week".... Maybe things have changed??

Just recieved my V5C logbook from the DVLA....the car has been registered as a VX220 Turbo....no mention of VXR220... Stu...could you shed some light on this...is it a mistake?? Mani

just saw this on the track day forum....

It is now official. Vauxhall will be completing the pre-build next week and have selected 6 cars at random for shakedown testing at Donington, prior to delivery to customer. This testing will be by way of allowing the cars to be driven throughout the day by carefully selected track day regulars.

The cars in questions are numbers 1, 3, 5, 25, 39 and 41.

I heard - can't remember who from - that VXRs had to be built and registered as VXT's and then modded otherwise they would need separate type approval?

From what i've heard all the VXR's will be tested round a track but it is done by Gavin Kershaw at Hethel to make sure they have tightened all the bolts and the car is handling how it's supposed to.

Just had some disappointing news....VXL are not giving me a firm delivery date on the VXR.....it was registered nearly two weeks ago and I was told then it would take two weeks to be delivered.....juts found out that they stilll dont know when its going to be ready...possibly by end of next week some time Just getting a bit concerned...as I still have to get the car armoufended once its delivered and then put some mileage on it before I take it to Luxemburg. I have already had to re-arrange with Armourfend once already... Also my insurance on my 2.2 will also expire this coming Tuesday ....Liverpool Victoria give you a 2 week grace period on your exisiting car when you get another... not happy at all. Mani

I wonder if it is just yours that is delayed due to them changing the seats for you. Otherwise my end of August date looks a little grim. Hope you get it soon

what was the reason given Mani?? Everyones or just yours?? If there is a problem with the wheels, the paint finish, whatever, fine. Its a very low volume car and i expect some issues and i am sure vauxhall QA will come thru(i hope ) But dont let them get away with just "its delayed...."

I wasn't informed of a number but was told that there were a remaining 6 left as of last Saturday.
