I wasn't informed of a number but was told that there were a remaining 6 left as of last Saturday.

have you ordered one ratty?? ;)

the way i understand it, those 6 dont include dealer cars (about 6-8)

Also, the number you are allocated (the order number i think) wont be the actual number on the car... :( shame, 3 is the missus lucky number.....

yep! ordered last Saturday from Lance Owen deposit paid delivery quoted as Sept/Oct :D That's why I posted a few questions like do I need the suspension and exhaust mods. I didn't take them up but will do if, I get the feed back.

Good choice thumbsup

WRT the suspension..... Not sure yet! Do you do trackdays?? I am waiting to see how the ohlins in roadsetup handle B-roads as i live in the sticks! They will be a 2k(?) aftermarket cost so 1k is very reasonable thumbsup I also love the look of a car with adjustables "bouncings" around a corner :D

VXR Zorst.... Its a miltek. I have a full miltek on my 2.2 (it wont swap to a turbo) and its sounds great, not too loud. 500 for the backbox is abit pricey. Best off going std, then getting a full system later. Also means you can swap it back to maximise resale value later too.

Thanks for the information Cheeky chops, please let me know how the Ohlins fair up. I have already voiced my concerns re speed bumps, and had a few replies, which do not seem to be a problem. I have Ohlins fitted to my motorbike and they are great, and must admit to being tempted, but if they are really only for the track then I will stick with the standard set up. Same goes for the exhaust really, I will stick with the standard then pick up a full system provided Vauxhall will cover it on the warrenty. I noticed in Top gear the VXR is car of the month  , also noted that if you look at the pictures there are two cars involved, so for those interested. VXR No KE04 GYH Featured in top gear Mag VXR No KE04 GWW Featured in top gear Mag VXR No KE04 GWX Driven by me at Sandown Ther is also a write up of the VXR with pictures in car Mag

what was the reason given Mani?? Everyones or just yours?? If there is a problem with the wheels, the paint finish, whatever, fine. Its a very low volume car and i expect some issues and i am sure vauxhall QA will come thru(i hope  )

But dont let them get away with just "its delayed...." thumbsup

No reason given what so ever.....by the way I met Neil at Bruntigthorpe and he said that my black interior was done and fitted. At Bruntingthorpe he said it should be ready at end of week......I wonder whether there are some QC issues....

if it is QC issues then I rather wait until its sorted...mind you they did not take too much time building 5 press cars...

will let you know once I have spoken to Stu

Cheeky It had a half Miltec exhaust which sounded nice, not sure I would pay 500 just for the sound and 7 bhp but a full system might be an idea. Suspension was standard as far as I remember and felt the same as the vxt around the town, I did not get chance to try it on the open road.

Mine which is No.41 was going to be ready for end of August early September. However i'm trying to secure No. 25 (minime's old one) and that is due at the end of this month or beginning of September. Spoke to Neil and he says that they plan to build 3 to 5 a week. 5 being the increase in building the VXR's. There are no plans to increase it from 5 as the original deal was around 3 a week. Will find out tomorrow if No. 25 is mine.
