I got some stuff sent to me via USPS and everything got here ok. My only gripe is the cost of postage and then the taxes. The government even charge VAT on the postage  Secondhand stuff also gets taxed which also seems hard to swallow too. The only thing that has worked a bit in my favour is the dollar has been dropping against the £. I think by the length of time your GB is taking to post its going overland and not by air which mine did but as long as it's packed and addressed correctly things should be fine. Happy new year to you too, mate!

I've not forgotten anything!

I hope you all don't mind, but as the company was away from christmas to the beginning of next week, i did not want to pay and then have it left with them on holiday and uncontactable, so I will talk to them on monday to sort out kits and delivery.

An idea I had, which would soothe me a little, is to do a test run of one kit to here, and see how it turns out, then order the rest.

Obviously this will add another week or two onto the arrival of them here, but if noone has any objections, I'd much prefer that.

Have a good new year!

Thanks

Seb

is this a joke i could have walked there and brought them back in that time thumbsdown

Okay, I can get them shipped asap if you want, but bear in mind, a lot of it isn't in my control, all I do is hand over money, anything from then on is in their hands.

Would you have felt comfortable letting them send things over the christmas mayhem when they weren't even at work?

Unfortunately I have to agree with Silky here, if you wanted to do it differently you should have said so from the start. I'm not in any real hurry but these should have been ordered by now, ok so you had to wait for 1 person to pay, but that was 2 weeks ago. Please order them Monday, or if you aren't happy to proceed return the money and leave it at that.

I understand you were one of the first to pay, but you've also got to remember I still hadn't received all of the money until the 18th December anyway! At that point I personally felt it was too late to have all the kits ordered, so I just ordered one, as I was leaving the country on the 22nd, and the company in the USA were on break. That having been said. I am ordering the kits on monday (or hope to be), as I've had confirmation of the test kit. Estimated time of arrival is January 15th as a rough guess. Could be a week or so later, but that's all out of my control. You have to remember the reason I'm doing this is to proof myself, I'm the one with 5 or 6k of other people's money! I'm trying to help here. Not do you over.

Not saying you don't have good reasons for doing what you did but doing thing differently without consulting everyone who has paid is not the right thing to do. Ordering one kit for yourself before everyone else does not look good either. Not making accusations, its just when people hand over a lot of money expecting you to do X with it and you choose to do Y they are likely to start asking questions! I'm afraid its not your money to do with as you please.

The kit is not for me, it's for the first person nearest to me, james141. Sorry if I did anything wrong guys, didn't mean to :(

btw, if its a group buy, how can you order 1 and not the rest. Surely there is some sort of discount here for ordering 7 kits, be that either as a postage saving or a group discount? If not, it would have been far simpler for both you and everyone else to have just given us the name of the company and we could have all ordered ourselves?

No worries, appologies for assuming it was for you. Anyway, if you order them Monday no harm done and I don't think anyone will hold it against u :)

I paid for it out of my own pocket, and the company covered some, I'd much rather lose one kit and £80 than the whole lot.

Well the one sat in my kitchen looks great! Rotors are sharp and gaskets hardly look used! That one's off to James so I'm sure he will post up some good feedback to keep your minds at rest. Delivery was actually fairly quick even over christmas, I can imagine these being here fairly soon!
