Yep, around 200-210bhp I think! Stage 2 is around 250, and with forged rods I think you can go to about 180?

Oops, I meant 280!

And hopefully if everyone can still make the buy, I would preferably like to put it through at some point in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Thanks

Seb, you say the S/C's are inspected. What exactly does that mean? Also what proof do we have that the S/C's have done circa 20k. The nagging fear i have is we get the S/C's from the US and then find that they're not up to spec. Then that puts you in a spot and we have the atlantic ocean between us and them to try and sort it. Is there any merit in getting new S/C's and the remaining part of the GB 2nd hand? Sorry to sound negative but felt i just needed to ask the question.

The S/C's are coming from a company in the USA who specialise in Cobalt SS tuning, they are advertised on the Cobalt SS website. I would hope that because of this they would be telling me the truth! I'm not so sure that there is a huge issue with them being second hand, as I think the only people who had new units went through courtenay, and others who did it DIY bought them all second hand.

Having said that, I did ask them on saturday, so I'm just waiting for them all to wake up so I get a response!

Sorry to sound negative but felt i just needed to ask the question.

Not at all Chris, it's your money and you have a right to know where it's going!

At the end of the day we have to trust the company we're buying from to a certain extend and I'm sure Seb has done all he can to ensure that, after all its his money too. If he pays by credit card (and I'm sure he will) then there will be a certainly level of cover offered by the Credit Card company.

Just out of curiousity is there a minimum we need to get this off the ground? Will we be able to do this with say the 3 confirmed so far (if nobody else confirms) or do we need all 7?

In theory we could, I would have to check if it was still viable, I think 4/5+ would be ideal though.

For those interested in costs, I have sent this PM to James, so might as well put it up here. The costs (in dollars) for the kits were $1375. Import duty on top was another $38, and tax another $211, totalling $1624. Currently, $1375 is : 1,375.00 USD = 824.335 GBP Import at 2.7% increases to £846.58 and then VAT is applied on top of that, increasing it to £973.57 So about £1 off what I was asking from everyone. (My attempt to proof against the currency changes, if it goes over £975, I'll soak it up, don't worry, along with the shipping within this country which I will be sorting out) Any questions don't hestitate to ask. Thanks Seb (That's assuming all of my maths is correct, if it's not, maybe I should just quit my automotive course while I can!)

Cheers Cliffie. I am re-checking state of the kit as I write this. If all seems to my satisfaction (as I certainly would never want to use parts that don't work), then that price is final.

Thanks

Seb
