I prefer it without the splitter TBH, though it did do a bit to pull the front of the car down. The problem with it was that it doesn't really function fully until about 7 or 8 cm off the tarmac and that is too low for road use, hence I have eliminated it. If I ever took it on a track (if I had the time + motivation) I could stick it back on, lower the front down to 7 CM and adjust the toe in and re-gain the immense down force I got from my previous experimentation. I still remember how remarkable and completely planted the car felt with it at that height.wont it look a bit weird without the splitter though? Obv its understandable if it isnt doing a lot that theres not need for it but it does look awesome

Hmm, that might be a good idea, though I don't think they had a TIG welder there 5 years ago when I last went. I think they've expanded a lot since then, so it might be worth giving them a tinkle.Maybe try and contact Neil Garner (only up the road) and see if he manufactures exhausts, or if not, who he uses?

Nev ive never commented on your thread and fair play to what you've done but your comment about your splitter and you noticing it missing after you took it off and you only drove it on the road!!!
From what i know about downforce you only really notice it above a certain mph, which people say to be 100mph plus!!!!!!!!!!

You should always replace nyloc nuts with new ones if you have to refit.

A bit, though if you are an alert/aware driver I think you can notice 50% of this sort of thing before it becomes an issue. Anyway the new nuts have arrived and I've just replaced the dodgy one. Will probably replace the one on the other wheel next time I am working around it. Am looking forward to testing it with a little "squirt and pray" action tonight if the rain holds off.lucky escape really

The "heater" is actually a large flap of metal on a hinge that is mounted on the bulkhead that I can open to varying amounts. Due to the high pressure zone in the engine bay and the low pressure zone in the cabin, this means that roasting hot air can enter the cabin in huge volumes.
The amount of air hot that enters the cabin is humungous and it is no exaduration to say you can drive round in the cold with the roof off and be sitting in a t-shirt sweating inside. Yesterdays test sucked in fair amount of leaves and dust, so I have installed a fine mesh over the hole which should stop 90% of it entering the cabin. The temp in the cabin nicely distributed as well, keeping my legs warm too.
I have also received my new 3.5" flexi joint and v-band clamp. If this fits I intend to weld it into the existing exhaust pipe to give more flex for when the engine twists about. These parts are pretty damned heavy and I am not 100% sure it will fit...
