Ever thought of going to Santa Pod Nev?

Not really TBH, the thought (read: pain) of extracting and fixing a buggered gearbox just to get some numbers on a piece of paper doesn't really appeal.

I was just thinking that the noise wasn't a big issue there.

Yea, it must be the only place where noise isn't an issue, that's true.

Mechanical sympathy doesn't go out the window. Either that or the car isn't fit for purpose.

I know I've said it before (and got grief) but I'd really like to see this car on a track or on a strip. So we can can actually see some real world performance compared to other machinery. Lee's SC car has done both track and strip work, so that would be a good comparison. Or around a track to compare against Jimmy/Cliffie Time Attack Cars past times. Just seems criminal for Nev's work to be confined to a road, where it cannot be fully utilised surely?

Sort of reminds me of Ronin's exige. Mindboggling specs, yet used to toddle around in the mountains.

I'm indifferent.  I like seeing the technical wizardry that has gone into Nevs car but it's just that; nevs car.  I couldn't give a monkeys what he does with it.  He enjoys it.

I am a road only user so don't have an issue with that. It's just after being in Chills car now it has the Harrop I think is less enjoyable on road and becomes more of a point and squirt car. Though like FLD said its Nev's car to do with what he pleases. There are plenty of super cars out there with similar performance and it dosn't stop people buying them for road use only! Some pod figures would be fun though😃

Did a bit of experimenting with the brakes DRP off today. Very scary, very scary indeed - the way the back end locks out and swings outs is completely accident inducing. The DRP is switched back on now ! Am going to have to get some RC6 or RC8 pads for the front I think, not what I wanted, but they will hopefully be considerably better than the p*ss poor OEM Porsche pads.

Yep, it was my intention to fit a bias valve like yours, however I am running out of will power as usual. Might just stick RC6 or RC8 pads in the front and leave the OEM overly front bias as it is (with DRP fully functioning). Maybe once the summer is gone and I am not having so much fun driving it every day I will start on the rears and more shinanigans. I think the key problem I am getting is not enough servo help, probably due to poor inlet manifold vacuum. Maybe the first thing to do is replace the servo (perhaps with higher ratio), perhaps also swapping the master cylinder as we intended.

Nev, at one point you had a electric vacuum pump servo. I think I need to replace my vacuum one-way valve just as the pipe comes out inlet manifold as its probably past its best.

Yes, I have the 12v vacuum pump in still, but it is getting tired now and only make 650 mBar of vacuum. I have a pressure guage plummed into the vac pipe just before the servo so know that the one way valve near the TB is working, as the vacuum is nicely sustained after switching the engine off. I wonder is my servo itself is not working 100%. It has to be that or the master cylinder. Or maybe I am just expected too much retardation, but seeing as I can't lock the wheels up or even trigger the ABS after about 60 MPH this is unlikely.

Nev, try bleeding your brakes with a vacuum bleeder (such as this), I found that it was the only way I could get full braking pressure after changing my brake lines - there was still a lot of air in the system after inverting the calipers.

oem Porsche pads are shite

Aren't they made by Pagid?

DS2500's are available for the Z17's so might be available for these.

I run these on my gt3 and they are a big step up from oem,
