Ha h yeaa, I'm rocking climbing every day, sunny Costa Blanca every day :)

There is more adrenaline in climbing as the fear of falling is omni-present, but less aesthetic pleasure than skiing. TBH, I'm looking forward to having 2 weeks off from the mental strain before I return to Spain and start my training + severe dieting regime.

Cant wait to drive Nipper, I think about it every few hours...

And the girlfriend?

She is waiting patiently, if I'm lucky she will have done an oil change on Nipper ready for pre-iginition checks as soon as I arrive!

Working backwards from page 141 here, but you do realise that rather than machining up 1mm wall tubular spacers you can buy off the shelf precision drawn steel tube for like $5/m??

I expect you can, but the size we machined up was some unsusal sizes (can't remember off the top of my head), so it was probably faster to machine up the tube in about 2 hours and fit them immediately, rather than ring round 100 places and wait for the post :(

This is a bit off-topic, but as some of you may know I am currently living in Spain on a prolonged climbing trip. I've been out here about 4 months now and loving the relaxed lifestyle and sun shine. I thought I'd share a few pics of me climbing, wild camping and a bridge jump I did the other day.

The ropes can be lowered using a controlled slippage device, thus lowering the jumper to the ground.

It's much safer than it looks, though it is terrifying !

Ha ha, driving Nipper these days seems quite safe too, it's just that the passengers rarely see it that way.
