Thanks go to Mike Hodder (Sales and Marketing Manager at Nitron), IMO if/when things go wrong a key indicator of a good company is their after sales care.
Absolutely! Great customer service. I've knocked them in the past, but fair play to their generosity!

That is truly impressive. My Nitron Streets have been brilliant and it is good to hear that the aftersales service matches the product quality.

Well, my refurbished Nitrons NTR R1s with modified bump stops arrived in the post this morning. They also kindly came with a pair of new rear upper wishbones for me to swap out. I have just spent 5 hours grovelling around under the car and put them all on and also replaced the most dinged wishbone on the N/S/R, leaving the remaining new wishbone to be installed in the O/S/R some time soon.
In order to double check that the bump stop issue has been resolved, I removed a spring out of the N/S/R coil-over and used a car jack to push the rear suspension assembly upwards to simulate severe compression. The bump stops do engage, absorbing some 25mm of squish prior to the wishbone striking the chassis, all whilst the jack is pushing upwards at some considerable force (guestimated to be around 2000 Newtons).
The car is sitting quite high off the floor at the moment, so I have left the springs settle a bit and I'll give it a cautious whirl tonight once the traffic has died down. After that I will lower it all back down to me geo settings and check the toe in/out on the rear and front. I will also check the camber on the rears, as I suspect the slightly longer wishbone (without the ding) will now cause a bit more positive camber than it did previously.
All in all, a successful conclusion to this issue. Once again I can only thank Nitron for their no-quibbles, professional and speedy resolution to this issue.

did you put new and old wishbone to check dimensions?

Err, no, can they be different? The new ones are from EP, so presumably correct. You got me worried now!

compare the new unfitted RH to the old LH , they should mirror each other if placed on top / shadow

Just been out to the garage and checked, yep they are identical - phew !
The rear of the car is about 20mm higher than normal and as a result the camber has gone from -2.3 to -1.4. Will sort this out once I've driven it a bit and let the springs settle.

Wow, the car is certainly "floating" along better now with after the coil-over refurbish. I guess they must have been pretty shagged out, even though they were only 3.5 years old.

Into the ether of mid Wales on an early run this morning. It was a bit damp but still wonderful to get out. Nipper is still sporting some fun signage that I put on for the Hoon . I've discovered that it's quite good at making other drivers try their luck, so more fun for me

Built (welded!) myself a new improved crank case oil breather tank, as the last one did not have any effective baffles. The new one has 2 baffles that causes the up-coming hot oily air to strike 2 baffle plates in an attempt to get more of the atomised oil to condense prior to being ejected. I've designed the baffles such that they angle downward at around 20 degrees, so that liquid oil can run off them and drain back down into the crank case pipe. Hopefully this will eliminate the few drops of oil that were previously escaping out of the bottom of the vent.
Took the car out the other day, I still haven't got the dampers setup right I think, but will fiddle about a bit more today. I drove past a cop car attending a RTA yesterday and saw the cop looking at my message on the rear wing with intent - I think I might need to take it off.
The rear pads and discs are looking very tired and end of life now. I really need to make a decision about what/how I am going to do with the rear uprights to modify my geometry and then I can decide what brake discs + calipers etc I can mount on to it. Lets see if my wallet spider can cough up another big chunk of cash or maybe I will make some home made clever bracketry like JoshuaUXB has.

Had a unbelievably good "Welsh Hills Dawn Raid" this morning - quite probably the best drive of my life (not said lightly).
I left a 6.00am and drove a 145 mile loop. At the start from Chepstow onwards to a little village stop off (a distance of 48 miles on Googlemaps) I had only 1 car in front of me in all of that - an imposing looking Nissan GTR waiting at traffic lights (doing much the same as me I suspect) who soon turned off.
On the way back Nipper threw a bit of wobbly and the idle would not settle below 2700 RPM. Apart from that he drove fine, so once back in my garage I got the laptop out and plugged into the ECU and the ETB controller and have changed a few settings to fix this. I suspect the Bosch TB has re-calibrated itself or has had some minor change in the potentiometer output that measures the butterfly valve angle. I suspect this as my fix on the max was to lower the TPS closed % value from 3.9% back down to 1.0%. This seems to have done the job, though I have contacted my mapper to confirm this fix was safe and good.
If anyone else wants to meet up and come along please feel free to contact me, I can't express how good the twisty and empty roads are I leave at about 5 AM to 6 AM most Saturdays and Sundays.

Had a bit of a think about the idle issue last night in bed (where I do my best thinking) and popped into the garage this morning to check something that I had remembered. It turns out the extra alternator bracket that I had added about 1 month ago had pulled the bolt through the weak alu casting of the inlet manifold. I have removed the bracket and re-inserted the bolt with RTV into the thread and remapped the electronic throttle controller. Problem fixed, it's rewarding to actually understand my car fully and pin point things so fast, though somewhat irksome that the £700 inlet manifold had had 2 faults so far.
Off for a (late) run into the hills now... 7.12 AM - tut tut !

It's lonely out there...
The highlights from yesterdays 200 mile trip were:
Being followed by plod for about 20 miles.Trying to keep the car below 30 through villages and towns seemed unnaturally slow as Nipper does tend to kangaroo below 2000 RPM.
Having a play with a Golf of some sort for quite a few miles, then parked up for a rest and the driver turns in to park up next to me - finding out it was a 45+ woman was a bit of a (pleasant) shock.
Managing the whole trip on just 1 tank of fuel !
