Any pictures of the turbo support.
It's an exhaust support (rather than a turbo support), as it looked like the leverage on the T3 joint was only on 2 of the bolts where the exhaust weight was levering the joint open. So I have opposed the downward leverage by making the bracket pull the exhaust centre section upwards. Sorry, didn't take any pics as it was such a simple thing really.
It's nothing fancy, but should work if I've got the tension right. Luckly your turbos and manifolds are probably less than 1/2 the weight of mine, so this sort of thing isn't necessary for you.

Just did an oil + filter change (after 1800 miles); there was hardly any fur on the sump plug so I think the engine is finally run in after 14,000 miles.
So I have decided to swap to fully synthetic 20w60, which is the sort of oil high specific power engines use. Lets hope this doesn't leak past the seals or cause any problems with the sacred bores. I've had possible suspected issues with synth oil in the past, so this swap from mineral to synthetic is a little concerning. The new stuff is B4 rated and I'm tempted to leave it in for 2500 miles from now on, as it will be kinder to the engine and because it costs a lot more.

I forgot to mention that another clue to the running in process has been the slowly increasing vacuum at set RPM whilst coasting in gear down hills. I've gained around 2 to 3 in/Hg. Also the blowby from out of the crankcase is reduced. So that's 3 things indicating the rings have bedded in nicely.
Had a young chap come running over from somewhere over & down the road from me this evening, and approached up the drive. Turns out he's a distant neighbour and he was interested in the car so I showed him round as I'd just parked up in the garage. In the conversation he even mentioned that he thought it sounded different to before, which indicates the new silencer is certainly being approved of by the neighbours.

Got told by Hairy over the weekend that Nipper now sounds a lot quieter, which is good to hear. Will try and get him static noise tested at CC this Friday if they aren't crazy busy.

I keep hearing you Are your over sized valves using the original seats recut or did you have to have new seats pressed in Nev?
I sorted the head on Nev's engine.
G & S/REC one piece forged stainless +1.0mm inlet valves. one piece Nimonic 80 forged + 1.0mm exhaust valve, soild lifters with deep locating shims (stops the flipping off) mechanical profile cams, double valve springs, steel retainers giving the correct installed length/valve seat pressure, Colsibro valve guides, head modified by Roper Developments.
Valve seat blended into the valve throat area.
I have done several identical specification cylinder heads on engine with power ranging from 550bhp to 750+bhp.
I all cases inlet manifold has been changed.
