increase fast compression damping resistance for some anti-dive? a bit less rebound damping in case you are jacking down?

Yes, if I had 2-ways I'd do just that, I have been thinking about possibly getting some 2 or 3 ways recently, but they are incredibly expensive for minimal gains. If I did get some, I'd build a mounting panel for them above the gearstick so I could modify the setup on the fly whilst driving. All these people who fit them under the bonnet/boot lid and then never change them are wasting their money, as the whole point is to adjust them to suit conditions dynamically.
After all the years of fiddling with my geo and setup I do think I could actually use some 2 or 3 ways and have a reasonable idea on how to set them up for conditions. I'm certainly at the point when I'm driving that I can feel where tiny changes would help depending on wet/dry hot/cold slow/fast conditions etc.

Went into the garage this afternoon and cut a sheet of 2mm aluminium as a second covering plate for the bulkhead hatch. So I now have an alu panel on both sides of the fibreglass OEM bulkhead (ie one on the cabin side and one on the engine bay side). Thus, there is roughly a 8mm "insulating" air gap between the 2 alu plates. This should hopefully stop some of the heat from the turbo area penetrating the cabin and melting the resin of the bulkhead (which is in a sorry state now). In winter I can take one of the panels out so that the welcome heat can help keep me warm.
Other than that I seem to have run out of little jobs to do on the thing - so I washed it !!!
Planning a big route for tomorrow as we are near the summer solstice and there is daylight from about 4.15 AM. I might even end up towards north Wales. Lake Vyrnwy is one of my favourites, it reminds me of one of my granddads who planned a few low level Mosquito training missions up there during the war. I can enjoy it's tranquillity thanks to his and millions of others toil and sacrifice.

Saw a setup that I think Neil Gardiner did on a V6 recently that had stepper motors on all the adjusters for bump/rebound and a control screen that was pretty trick.

Just filled up again at Shell for tomorrows trip, the cashier guy just laughed when he saw me, it was only 14 hours ago that I filled up with him last.
Noticed a bit less noise in the cabin due to the extra bulkhead plate, might even be able to drive without earplugs.

Tenn or tein or similar did something like this about 15 years ago with motors on the damper adjusters and a control panel inside the car. Think it was mental money and didn't achieve much

We saw them on a set of Ohlins looked pretty trick. I think it was muchos money on top of the shocks though as in like 3k! Looked a good solution but I would gamble theres a stepper motor breaking all the time and lots of maintenance

Did a couple of nice long trips this weekend, one out to the seaside in west Wales. The route I chose to come back on today had a lot of slow narrow roller-coastery roads, but the views were amazing. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, but I get a lot of joy from regularly using the car like this. Came across a few Porsches, BMWs and even an Aston Martin being driven quite hard.
The new exhaust flange seems to be holding up well, hopefully that's the end of that "little" issue. Ditto with the new engine mounts so far, though entropy and time haven't had an opportunity to work their effects on the solid mount yet. The new(ish) exhaust silencer seems good too, it's done quite a few thousand miles now and seems fine and hasn't got noticeably louder.

Phewf, just noticed I've hit the 300k views on my thread, most viewed thread on the forum I believe.
Just tried to put the last stiffer side mount in the car (the O/S one) but I couldn't!! The other 3 mounts are now too stiff to allow enough clearance to get the remaining soft mount out. Even 2 opposing jacks on the chassis/engine and dropping the weight of the engine on the arm, I still coudn't manage it. The only other way was to :
i) disassemble my inlet pipework and undo the 3 bolts to the side arm
or
ii) undo/loosen off the other 3 mounts
Both of which were more than my time is worth, so I've just left the old mount in there. Will swap it out at some other time (when I've already undone the other bits for some reason). It's my belief that the O/S mount needs to be softer than the N/S (due to the offset gearbox) anyway.

Sadly, I'll be back on the treadmill soon, as I've been negotiating a new job last week in order to top up my piggy bank and make a meaningful contribution to society. This one thankfully is only a 25 minute bike ride away so I can try and melt the 3 stone of goo that has been accumulating on me over the last 5 years!
Sunny tomorrow and the day after, am tempted to go on a mini hoon and take advantage of my remaining free time, though it's always hard to leave Twinkie and Twiglet for any length of time:

Managed to bottom the car out this evening, one of the sills actually hit the road whilst cornering and tanking it and I had to jack the car up to check the damage when I got back and saw then saw the witness mark. That's the first time that has ever happened to me.
I've clicked up the Nitrons 1 notch each for tomorrow, but stiffer springs (particularly on the front) are needed I think. I've got several sets sitting around from my previous testing/geoing, just need to pull my finger out and put them on and make sure I get the ride height back to exactly how it is now.
The thing I find is that in winter these springs are just great, however the summer grip is so ace it induces about 30% more speed and hence more vigorous bump strikes.

I suspect your are correct..
But the question really should be why the fcuk is nev driving on public roads like a complete doodah to manage to get his sideskirt to hit the floor whilst cornering...

Front is 100mm chassis to floor, rear is 120mm chassis to floor, so it is low. Bear in mind the side skirts of my car have a moulding that projects downwards off the OEM moulding, with a base plate to make them flat profile underneath, it's this base plate that scraped the tarmac.
