I Like those latest batch of compo's they definitely look better than the original batch a lot more like the Speedlines.... I like the graphite on that silver vx as well....re-thinking the default choice of TD's

Two thirds of the original lid removed, remaining piece bolted/bonded to the new section. As you can see it allows a bigger volume of air around the engine, and obviously more physical space if required.

Added an update about extracting the gearbox and diff.

Next step will be to put the (correct) slave cylinder in and build my rear end up again.

Gearbox is back on after another 2.5 hour tussle with heavy metal. One nut in particular took 15 minutes to thread and tighten. Never again...

Love the attention to detail like the black trim edging on the turbo spoiler to 'tie' in with the carbon on the fast back :) Obviously a great amount of thoughts gone into this and its beautifully done thumbsup

Just got back from 10 days holiday in the Alps. Will have a bit more of a wrestle with the gearbox tomorrow and try and get the bugger up and running again, prior to going to a wedding in the afternoon. I have the new fuel pump + pot + pipes + connectors on order. Another £700 down the swanny, but it has to be done or I risk melting the engine when it runs out of fuel round the corners :( Steve, I didn't know anthing about the cam cover breather mod. I took a look at the website but it seems to be for C20LET engines. BTW my current vent via a red pipe in my blog doesnt really seem to be spewing much oil at all (at just 3500 revs so far) so I think my current setup may well be fine.

Bloody hell, I've had yet more leaks from my clutch housing. So, the gearbox has been taken off again (only took 2 hours this time) and it seems that the solid pipe that leads from the slave clyinder to the bleed connector has leaked. This is my own fault, as I remember a rope that was used to lift the gearbox onto the side of the engine snagged on the bleed connector and stressed it. Anyway, new parts (£51) are on order from Vauxhall and I've been assured they will arrive within a week... I am starting to dislike my project
